My mom worked at a place where the window in her office looked out at the runway where the Concord would take off. That was a beautiful plane.

Yes the SST Condord was a beautiful plane! I hated to see it get retired due to a catastrophic accident and high operating costs.

As far as flying I am not crazy about it. With all the new drone activity. Personal flying devices are getting very close to reality.

Jet packs can only only give you around 9 minutes of flight time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_pack

Let me refraise that.
Affordable personal transportation. That means put it in and go flying around by yourself. Like an ultralight but less of a need for the airport

I fly sailplanes (gliders) which is a very affordable way to fly. It costs me $40 to get towed to 2,000 feet. After release from tow if you find a good thermal you can fly for an hour even more. My personal best has been a little over two hours.

Gliders are fantastic. I went up in one in Maryland. You can hear dogs barking and it really is like being a bird. I imagine hang gliding is the same . But what I think people are seeking is something g you go into the garage and get on like a motorcycle and fly away.

When I was a child, I recall being taken on a gyrocopter ride by a family friend's friend and meeting one of the last Korean War vets in the desert.

I'd like to take it up a notch in my lifetime, gather up the money for a very light jet aircraft and taxi in my tiny plane in between all of the 767s and A320s on domestic flights.

What's wrong with talking to yourself? I do it all the time. I only get strange looks when the voices come out where others can hear them.

Doing ok. Checked prices on brake pads from a shop here. Did a few minutes of cleaning on my caliper. Dang, brakes get nasty. I make progress just a little bit at a time.

Many moons ago, I spent some time in prison. I used to put ear buds in while reading a book so people wouldn't bother me. If you was reading a book, you'd have people try and talk and interrupt. But if they thought you was listening to music they would leave you alone. I guess reading is an odd thing to some folks.

I have been looking for a fitness tracker.
After much research I’ve decided on the Motivering.

I've used the Fitbit and the Misfit. The Misfit was one of the cheapest but I found it to be way more accurate. However, nothing on the market seems to be even close to what the Body Media BodyBugg was. I had that tracker after seeing it on the Biggest Loser. It confirmed what many people argue about. It comes down to calories in vs calories out. It didn't matter what I was eating, when I was eating, what exercise I was doing. If I consistently kept a deficit according to the Bugg/food journal, I lost weight. Thanks to Jawbone, the BodyBugg was turned into a paperweight. They bought the patent and sat it on a shelf, never to be looked at again, to be replaced by inferior competition.
