Hey its your money but I would say that their response is full blown BS on being overwhelmed on orders and didn't expect to be busy. If that was the case why are you hearing it now and shouldn't you have some priority. They said that they were willing to work with you on customizing it a bit here and there but that seems very misleading to me.

I agree but what can I do besides asking for a refund? I'm giving him time and hopefully it'll come out clean. Don't want to rush and have him screw up something. Only reason why I can wait is because I'm still waiting on other parts to arrive as well.

I spoke with Josh Brasse and I don't doubt he's been very busy with his business. He's an inventor and has several other products he sales besides bike kits. So anyways, the delay is cause he's busy + I had him do some custom mods to the kit. He said it'll be shipped by next week.

It's not good business to take this long, however he's very responsive to my questions and sounds like a great guy so I don't mind the extra wait.

Update: Spoke to Josh Brasse and he admits they are behind on production. He offered to send me their floor display kit (which I opted out on because I rather not be an a-hole and take away from any sells) and a discount for the delay. I'm thinking another 2 weeks until I get my 31BLK kit. I wonder who's ordering this kit? Doubt much from the West, most likely East countries since they're restricted to 250cc.

Anyways, while I wait I had time to install 3" wheels and 120 front tires as well as fender. Will install 4.5" wheels and 150 tires to the back plus tire hugger this week.

Be careful, being patient and more than reasonable can put you in position for people to take advantage of you and you get ef'ed in the end.

Last time i put decent cash down on something and the builder kept putting out excuses i sounded a lot like you. "don't want to bother them any more", "i understand they are busy" "oh they just moved shops so they are behind, i can wait" blah blah blah HORSE ****!! Cock suckers filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and i was out $2500 nothing i could do about it but kiss it good bye. Should have asked for a refund after things went over time by several months and if they refused sued their @sses. Live and learn

Doh. Thanks for the warning. My max wait time with them is 2 weeks. I'll ask for their floor plan kit if they're not done by then or demand a refund. The simple mods I had them do shouldn't take 2 months. If I had the tools it would've taken me less than a week.

You are a very patient person. I would have asked for a refund the day after the original due date.

BTW, I am already impatient waiting for the pictures of your project

LOL Trust me I'm impatient waiting to work on the project but there isn't a kit out there that remotely looks like the 31BLK kit. Definitely will upload pictures once I'm done.

Update: So I had time today and installed the 4.5" rear wheel along with 150/60/17 tire as well as the tire hugger. Love the look of the bigger tire than the stock ones.

The 31BLK kit by Josh Brasse has yet to be shipped. I'm thinking he probably has some supplier issues or just unprepared to cater in this sector since he can't give me an exact ETA. Good thing I bought it using my credit card and not Paypal. I can go back and dispute the charge if I never get the kit.

Yes. No negative impact as far as I can tell. Positive is that I have more confidence in the corners due to more road contact. Plus, they're not stock tires so it doesn't feel like I'm riding on a block of wood.

I highly doubt I'll get screwed over since he has other business ventures. Also, he's very responsive to my emails and seems like a stand up guy. Usually scammers ignore you after they get the money. I ordered the kit when it was released so personally, I think he's just over his head. He needs to get his production time fixed or he'll have a lot of angry customers in the future.

I'll definitely update everyone with pictures and video once I'm done.

Love how it's coming along!
You're going to make every head everywhere turn around once it's done.

BTW I went to Japan.webikes.net to find the fender + tire huger combo you got but I can't find it, mind telling me which ones you got?

Tell me!!! Tell me!!!

Brilliant. This website is a gold mine(costs that much too )
I got over the whole go-for-the-cheap-one-for-now thing simply because you get what you pay for, as simple as that. I'll go for one when I am done with the basics and have enough confidence to ride around without second guessing myself. xD

I'll take pics of the bike when I get home. The kit hasn't arrived yet but I took off the stock fairings.

Thanks. Funny you say that because my helmet for the 636 has the Autobot insignia. For the 250 I'll leave it all black and will get the Batman backpack from UD Replicas (over priced though and barely fits anything) so I can take my lunch to work. It's mostly for the looks.

Batman Backpack (for $300 I haven't decided if I should get it or not. lol)

Update on 31BLK kit: He emailed me saying it'll take a few more days. I asked him to change the front for me. To make it mounted 180 degrees which will give it a more aggressive look. He said that'll take longer. I told him I've been waiting for 2 months. Longer isn't an issue at this point. *sighs*

This is how it stands as of now. Still waiting on the kit and also will do a few other mods once I'm done with the kit. Definitely relocating the rear oil reservoir under the seat. The rear fender will be chopped off exposing the back wheel more.

True. Once I'm done I'll ride it a lot more and will keep an eye on that. So far I've put about 100 miles on it to test, and everything is good.

The main thing is the front sprocket is lined up with a rim width of 3.5 inches, now you have 4.5 inches. So that is a half inch potential where the rear sprocket is outside the line with the front sprocket.

It is pretty simple, the plane that the front sprocket and rear sprocket on stock are in perfect alignment. With a wider rim, that also means the sprocket positioning on the rear will be wider also to accommodate the new width. The new position of the sprocket would put it outside the plane that the factory sprocket is on up to a half inch.

I can't say for sure about the wheels NinjaZX6R123 is getting, but with the VRossi wheels sold by Andy, the hub section of the wheel is the same as stock. Everything still lines up exactly the same. Only the outer rim of the wheel (where the tire mounts) is wider.

^ Wut he said.

Hub size and rim width are not necessarily 1:1. As long as the hub width is the same as stock, sprocket, axle, and rear brake caliper will line up just fine.

the Chain still has to be able to clear the rim width. if the Hub width of the stock rim is extra wide, then there probably isnt much a problem.

Correct. The stock wheel and the VRossi PnP replacement are about 5.5" wide at the hub (not including the sprocket carrier/cush drive stuff). Going from a 3.5" stocker to a 4.5" VRossi isn't an issue.

If you were going to a much wider wheel, or on a different bike, you'd definitely want to check out the spacing details at the hub and rim to ensure that the chain will clear everything and line up. But it is possible (as seen with these PnP replacements) to make a wheel to take a wider tire without altering the other details of the drive/wheel - making the wheel 1" wider at the tire doesn't necessarily force the sprocket over 1/2".

Angry I have also talked to Joshua Brasse :-(

I stumbled upon this post when searching for people who have had encounters with Joshua Brasse.

To make a very long stry short, I have designed a table that is for sale on the Ideacious website. The table reached production stage a few months before christmas.
Every pre-orderer (including myself) paid 1450$ and expected everything to be good.
When I was to approve everything for production, the materials was of worse quality than previously agreed upon etc.
We agreed to roll back the product to pre-order status again...

Josh seems like a very nice guy when you talk or write with him, but apparently he is not very good with handling other peoples money!

To my knowledge I am the only one of about 12-14 people that has received full refund. some has received 400-600$ and some nothing.
This has been going on for about 8 months!!!

He has come up with so many excuses about how he was too busy and how there was a special backend programming problem etc etc etc.

To this day he still has "available now" status on my table! I do not know if he is still taking orders and keeping the money.

Please beware of this man and do not trust him to handle your money.

NinjaZX6R, I hope you get your product or your money!

best regards
