so do you just blow past people, or at a slower pace? I would be scared to go to fast.

The term lane splitting, sometimes known as lane sharing, filtering or white-lining, refers to the process of a motorcyclist riding between lanes of stopped or slower moving traffic or moving between lanes to the front of traffic stopped at a traffic light.

First time I did anymore than the bare minimum of white-lining was on PCH a few weeks back. Best place to learn/practice it IMO. The roads can get packed and are pretty wide. People there seem to be more used to motorcycles and they leave room. I followed a guy through a long pack of traffic for 6 straight minutes (got it on video) and it was exhilarating! Got me over my nervousness and now I do it in almost any situation where it seems safe enough.

to be honest, we were going pretty fast. Faster than what one could consider, safe, or even a little risky. Most of the cars were pretty accommodating to us, but a few tried purposely to cut us off.

I get that, I say following my husband is like following a jackrabbit. He is on a 1000, I'm on a 250 so I probably do stuff I shouldn't, and even when he isn't here I do the same stuff

At least the 250 is thin so you can follow easier.

Rebelyell91 was one of my original inspirations for getting my Ninja...

I'm liking the idea of this event. I'll do my best to go.

I asked a SoCal buddy to find me a route to San Diego from Simi Valley and this is what I got. https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=S...16,17&t=m&z=12

Looks like a good amount of fun to me.

Your buddy picked out a very nice route for you. With the exception of lacking GMR I'd say you're hitting it all.

Only question I have is why not stay on Decker all the way to PCH (Thought the descending double hairpin at the end is mostly a test for how much your brakes faded). The rest of this looks good for the Los Angeles leg of the journey.

This is how I get when I'm realllyyy late for something and need to get there in a hurry.

Taken from my helmet cam when I was late to class this last Thursday. The song is what I was actually listening to through my Sena SMH5-FM.

i rode turnbull. it'a fun. that being said, it is Whittier so the road quality is not too great. I'm no canyon carver and rode it when i had like a day on my new bike so to someone with skill, it'll be fun. also, it's not too long, so the ride miight get boring after riding the same road over and over.

You will have time to save for it. Keep an eye out on the classifieds section of socalmoto.org I've seen people give suits away to new people just to get them to the track. At any rate there are always good prices. Some guy is selling a really nice size 44/54 Alpinestars suit for $600 OBO on there right now.

Saving up for tires, brakes, track pants, and apparently gauntlet style gloves now since I read they're required for most organizations. ::le sigh::

Really hoping to that have everything by mid April so that I can join TrackXperience @ Streets on the 27th/28th of April.

Tomorrow anyone up for something? I'll be out in PCH area. Might do a little canyon riding, but I'm still kinda new at things so nothing too complex.
