Ultra squiggly roads

I look at maps all day and occasionally come across an area that just screams motorcycle heaven.

The reality may not live up to what the overview promises (dirt, narrow, walking trail) but it sure is fun to look at those tiny back roads that look like a caffeine addict got a hold of a crayon.

What's your favorite epic road?

Nearby Nagoro, Japan.

My tablet sucks and won't let me load multiple attachments. Here's another that turned out to be dirt.

little dirt trails are still fun even on sport bikes. me and kevin used to go on them all the time. they require much more patience though.

Scroll up a bit on the map. See that little 'clump'?

Keep zooming in.

Yes, when there's no traffic, it is as fun as it looks.

Adding that to my ride list!

Oh, and we did this ride last summer:

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Cave...2654!5i1?hl=en

Never upright for more than a short bits, and very little traffic!

That's how I chose the route for the tour I did in 09.

I rode from CT out to Indy for the MotoGP race. Didn't have a fixe timeline for getting back, so I got paper maps of most of the eastern end of the country and laid 'em on the floor. I looked for the squiggliest lines in striking distance.

They were in West Virginia.

I was not disappointed.

I did that once only to discover that the perfect road was really a single lane gravel path uphill

I should get a dual sport someday
