The Definitive Riding Book Thread
After spending some time searching here, it seems that there isn't a thread devoted to what's out there in the book world. In the quest for solid riding knowledge it seemed that a thread pointing to something more substantial than youtube might be a good idea here.
Here's a list of what I've found beneficial. It isn't all of the books out there, but then I haven't found them all to be of benefit. Here's my list and commentary - 1 - Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well - David L. Hough 2 - More Proficient Motorcycling: Mastering the Ride - David L. Hough 3 - Sport Riding Techniques: How To Develop Real World Skills for Speed, Safety, and Confidence on the Street and Track - Nick Ienatsch 4 - Ride Hard, Ride Smart: Ultimate Street Strategies for Advanced Motorcyclists - Patrick Hahn 5 - Smooth Riding the Pridmore Way - Reg Pridmore 6 - Total Control: High Performance Street Riding Techniques - Lee Parks 7 - The Upper Half Of The Motorcycle - Bernt Spiegel (A dictionary will come in handy with this one.) I got the most out of number 3 and number 7 (after riding for 22 years). 1 and 2 are great for learning basics and staying alive on the street. Number 4 is written from a risk management standpoint. Number 5, while good, is partly an advertisement for the race school that they run. Number 6 is okay, but a bit too detailed and harder to relate to. Have one or two to add to the list? Post 'em up with a review! Read on, J~

I enjoyed #1.
#3 - is this the author that's full of himself? I remember reading one and just found the author to be extremely cocky.

Not home to look at the book shelf, but I do have both Twist of the Wrist, Smooth Riding, Sport Riding Techniques, Total Control and a couple others.

They are in this sticky thread at the top of the riding skills section.

I am still stuck on the suspension part of Total Control.
