10mm spool sliders not fitting

So I have several kinds of spool sliders and the 10mm seem to fit into the holes but the spools are to thick? So if I screwed it in all the way theres a gap that shows the screw and the spool is touching the bike only on one side? The screw hole and the rectangle part it's attached to isn't flush. What do I do? What am I missing? An extra piece of some sort? I tried googling around and searched the forum with no success.

Yup, might need a spacer so it sits firmly against the swingarm.

Terri, Some washers would probably do the trick in place of the spacers you didn't get. Use some Blue Loctite on the treads and you should be OK.

I think I used pitbull spools on the 250. But washers would work just fine. Or just take the spool to the hardware store and I'd bet you could find something that would work great.

Mine had a *slightly* smaller diameter part on the swingarm side but it was only about as thick as a washer or two which was not enough to fill the space completely. I had to add some washers of my own. I went to Home Depot and Lowes and settled on a combination of normal and rubber-coated aluminum washers. They were the cheap black "extended swingarm slider spools" on eBay. I do like 'em.
