What would you do if you didn't own a motorcycle?

How would you spend your time I guess is what I am asking. Seeing that motorcycles are a bit time consuming when it comes to pre-ride inspection, getting on all your gear before you leave the house, and maintenance.

How about getting a job then. Win, win. It will occupy your time and make you some money to buy a bike.

That's great man. Keep raising for a bike. Everywhere I go, they either tell me I'm to young or that they promise to give me a job. I need one now.

WOOT! My bike is now states inspected, registered, has texas plates, and is in my name. I'm licensed and on the road. Put in a dozen or so miles around local streets and down our busiest street and made myself a lot more confident. Found a few areas I need to work on, better to know you need work than not know and still need it.

Also filled my gas tank, must have done it incorrectly(take on side stand?) I could see the gas at the top but when I start the bike it says half full and it only took about a gallon. So weird compared to my 20g tank SUV.

Things to work on:
Shifting down several gears but still moving smoothly, say 45 to 20mph.
Tight right hand turns from a dead stop.
And smooth shifting in general.
Just for good measure slow U-turns.

edit: opps somehow posted on the wrong thread, my bad.

I honestly nevuer check anything for pre ride except occasionally the oil. If I'm going on a 100+ mile ride i will check k stuff but there really is no point IMO to take twenty minutes every time I ride.

If I couldn't ride, I'd be getting my helicopter license. If I didn't own a bike, I'd be shopping for one or working for one.

If I'd never even had the idea of a bike pop into my head, I'd probably be having a midlife crisis.

If I didn't have a motorcycle.. I'd probably be hooning in an E28/32 BMW, or a Miata. I probably would've actually gotten into autocross at some point. (I meant to do so when I had my Evo, but I just kept putting it off because I didn't think I was ready).

If I didn't own a motorcycle, I would:

*Drive a car to work, contributing to global warming.
*Not wear gear, except in the bedroom.
*NOT post regularly on a motorcycle forum. You bikeless kids are nuts.
*Have less fun on the weekends.
*Only save about 1-2 minutes on my commute getting ready (you've overestimated prep time), but lose about 25 minutes in traffic because I can't split lanes.
*Plan to buy a motorcycle.

Actually I think the Mythbusters proved motorcycles are just as bad as cars or possibly even worse.

This. And it's even moreso for two-stroke scoots and bikes.

But still, screw global warming if I'm saving hundreds on gas every month

They found lower CO2 emissions on the motorcylce. CO2 is the greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. They did find that the quality of the exhaust had more other pollutants, which is why they called it a wash, but my post was about global warming.
