Lol it's not just the hair, the pic is tiny and she is in a position that could be easily confused with a skinny guy with girls legs i.e. @choneofakind

Yakaru sorry I didn't realise your post until now, hope your Ninja is all fixed up and happy again!
As an update, I spent the last week traveling for my uncle's funeral only to return to LA and find out that the insurance company lost my bike! After some digging and several days they found him again, but seriously, how do you lose a motorcycle?? I'm walking, in minimal pain, and about to get cleared to go back to work with a few restrictions Insurance and police faulted the kid, so I'm gonna be taken care of, and I'll post more about my bike when I know more, maybe get some pics. I inspected all my gear when taking photos for insurance (they're gonna cover replacement!) and found my helmet had actually cracked through on each side of my jaw... Again, so grateful for ATGATT and good insurance, I really got lucky! |

Glad your alright Mar, makes me rethink my gear for sure! From the pictures you posted, you're lucky you didn't drop and slide right under the SUV, then all of this could have been tragically worse! I think you did it just right!

That sucks to hear but atleast you're ok. Hope you get healed up and back on two wheels soon. How'd you manage to get rashed on your arms with a full leather jacket?

Definitely looking at the 300....
The rash on my shoulder and arm I honestly think is from the armour in the jacket shifting. I thought I had sized my jacket right at a small, but I'm looking at an XS for my next jacket...and a different jacket altogether with a better fit and cut. I can't wait to get back on two wheels, even if it's only a bicycle for now! I'll hopefully get cleared by the doctor today for more physical stuff than laying around in bed - gets awfully boring fast |

If I may make a suggestion, I was having a hell of a time getting things in my size until I found beachmoto down in Venice; the owner there is a real sweetie and we got my gear sized perfectly.

So I finally got to see my Max...
Insurance declared him a total loss. I heartily disagree, as I think the damage is cosmetic, and even the officer at the scene said he was rideable, but I have to accept the loss settlement to get a cage until my spine heals enough to ride again. But I got pics when I went to say goodbye to him. Rashed fairings Cracked rear fairing Scraped up This was already scraped from my very first lowside (5mph the first week I had him lol) Cracked mirror, and some scrapes to the front brake lever (again, it was already scraped...) I might be able to buy him back as salvage from the wrecking lot when they put him up for auction. Would that even be worth it? I don't know...it's looking like next spring before I ride again, it might be better to pick up another bike in better condition over the winter? |

i bought mine back straight from the insurance co for $1000. it was new, i like fixing things and nothing was bent so it was worth it. ended up spending $500 for fairing kit, $100 for clipons, and $200 for woodcraft rear sets to get me rolling.
