My exhaust shipped today and apparently there's a little something extra included for the GB participants.
I can't wait.

Hmmm, one size fits all? Well hopefully it's more than just a sticker.
I don't really care though, I'm just glad to be getting my new exhaust.

No nothing as mysterious as that. One of the initial systems assembled happened to be an Ultra High Mount and you were the next confirmed order on the list. Well technically our administrator (diwhiteii) was, but we're saving his "extra special" one for last. Assembly is continuing on the GB orders. The others will be getting invoices soon.

I got an extra special system too,
Still just as in love with it now, as I was the day I picked it up. Trust me guys, I don't feel as if none of you will be disappointed. The pure craftsmanship and quality of this system is amazing!

Her system was the very first one off all our new production tooling & fixtures. Definetly makes it special. I assembled it personally at our Florida facility. Then installed it, dyno'd it, custom tuned it. I don't get to do that as much as I would like, mostly due to time constraints operating two facilities on opposite coasts. But it also helps keep the staff on their toes, knowing that I can still do more than push a pencil!

Well it was the first production exhaust that they used for fitment. So, of course it's super special to me Plus, as Kerry stated- he assembled it himself. As i'm sure you already seen, I posted a big thread about it; if you haven't feel free to pop over and peep at it. Dyno charts posted, pictures, ect.

hey let me ask you, looks like you have the yoshimura fender eliminator with the stock signals. dont you think that turn signal is a little close to the muffler that it could melt that signal? also, what was the little extra something that kerry said, getting anxious waiting for the item to come Last futzed with by felo; July 18th, 2013 at 09:58 PM. |

Thanks felo, don't know what was up with adding pictures for me...
Yes I have the Yoshimura FE and yes I've given some thought to the position of the signal, however, these pictures are a bit misleading. The signal is probably 3" out following the pipe and another inch above. I took a half hour ride and it didn't seem to be too hot when I got back home. At the most, it will slowly melt and start to look ugly. Then, I'll replace them. The extra special something is a t-shirt, so somebody owes me $10 . But no, really, it's a very nice graphic style shirt and I'll be wearing it at my next track day! - Thanks @kbryant ! EDIT: Just took her to work doing about 85 for 40 minutes on the interstate, there seems to be no issue whatsoever with right turn signal. When I got in I immediately felt and it was cool to the touch. The ride home is a little more stop-and-go, I'll update on whether or not slow riding makes a difference. So far I have high hopes. Well my exhaust arrived this morning, to my surprise, I wasn't expecting it until later today. Anyway here it is.
I haven't installed the tuner yet. I'm getting ready to do that now. It looks like it's gonna be a pain, but oh well. The exhaust looks sweet, top notch for sure.

@ninjamunky85 FYI, you don't actually have to empty the tank or remove it to install the tuner. You just need to tilt and angle it toward the front of the bike. It helps if you have a friend, or something else to prop it up on.

Well I got the tuner installed. I removed the tank but it wasn't too bad. I was able to do it without removing the front fairings. I also removed the snorkel while I was in there, so my bike should be running sweet now.

Yoshimura rearset adjusters, Venhill Stainless steel brake lines, HH front brake pads, Powerbronze windscreen, SS fender eliminator from eBay. I think that's about it.

AreaP is a great company to work with. You have made a believer out of me.
