Cool 1993 ninja 250 key

I recently purchsed a 1993 ninja 250, but it only has one key. Can i just go to anyplace that makes keys and have another one made, or do I have to go to a kawasaki dealer to have one made. Any help will be much appreciated!

Go to a real locksmith. Don't even worry about the dealership and dont think about the hardware store.

I took mine to a lock smith and got a good copy of my key made for $3.50. It still works great 16,000 miles later

A profile duplicate will have the same worn out lands as the old key. With this info a good locksmith can make a copy just as good as an unworn original. Also, if you can find a Silca blank they're as nice as the OEM Kawasaki for 1/4 the price.
