Shinto Racing USA

Paul (ThaiNinjaRR), owner/operator of Shinto Racing Products based in Bangkok, Thailand and I have been discussing the possibility of me becoming his US distributor. We have exchanged ideas and are ready to give this a try. Our goal is to offer Shinto products in a such a way that the odering/delivery process is clear, as well as bring these products to everyone at the best price, providing the greatest value possible.

initially, orders will be placed in batches on the 15th and 30th of each month so that items can be shipped from Thailand to me via bulk ocean freight. this will keep costs down, but of course means waiting for items to arrive stateside (how long this takes will be determined once things are up and running). once i have received the bulk order, i will distribute via USPS and FEDEX/UPS. of course, if you want an item ASAP, orders can always be placed directly through Paul using the current process, and applicable shipping costs will apply. group buy discounts would apply to orders placed through myself.

also, i would like to know what items everyone is most interested in so we can get a sense of what we would need to focus on in terms of manufacturing/inventory. please check out www.shinto-racing.com, don't worry about prices at this time as Paul and I are in the process of working out the details.

let's make this happen people!!!

Thanks to everyone!!

I'm definitely interested in a rear hugger, specifically the carbon fiber.

I have to be honest with you, after the other thread that indicated there were some problems in the past, I am a little gun shy. Perhaps others feel that way as well and is the reason there are not many replies.
Having said that, it sounds like things will turn around and I am willing to give it a shot.

I agree, there have been mixed feelings twards this seller. Good and bad. I am interested in many parts that he his selling, but with him living so far away from me makes it kind of hard to be willing to throw down a couple hundred of dollars. If they were state side, i'd be more willing to do so.

hence the reason to establish US distribution - just like Matt (ztrack157) does for sportisi........

have faith, the only issue has been regarding carbon fiber products due to problems with his FORMER manufacturer. everything else has been on point. if there are products you are interested in, let me know. the purpose of this thread is to announce a new development with Shinto and allow myself to get an idea of which items will be in demand most.

Well, i'm not much into carbon fiber so thats a good thing for me! lol I have been eye balling the rear hugger, and the rear sets for some time now. Those would be the things I would be looking for mostly.

i am ordering a rearset & flasher from Paul right now..

as far as being "shady"...I think he explained that it had to do with his CF manuf. But if you order through a US distrib, items are shipped to US so you're dealing with US distrib rather than ThaiLand...

Awesome Idea... As I am awaiting a Fender Eliminator from Shinto. Might be a while but I am sure that Paul is not out to rip me off. Very open communication. New user but I will try to get pictures posted.

As others have mentioned, feedback has been both good and bad but suspect this is just growing pains for a young business. Having a stateside distributor would make things much cleaner, provided freight schedules are met.

You've got one more eager and waiting customer once some of the parts prototypes hit production/distribution.

I would be interested in the rear hugger and rear led tail if you were to distribute within the US.

sounds like there is definitely some demand out there - i will get with paul to finalize our process ASAP. shipping will be between $5-15 depending USPS flat rate box needed for items. larger items will ship UPS/FEDEX at an additional expense. more details to follow.

I am interested in a rear hugger to start then rearsets and clipons maybe some other stuff. I definatly like the stateside distributor better than dealing with overseas especially when talking hundreds of dollars, I would be in for a group buy on huggers to start off the process. I need one bad.

dan, thanks for your interest. that's the idea as far as having a US distributor. we will definitely be doing GB discounts. if you want to put the word out and gather some interest on huggers, rearsets, clip-ons, etc - DON'T HESITATE!! i would love to be able to submit a big order to paul on 7/15 to kick off the first US bulk shipment

Let me know if this is happening. Let me know the GB price on the sprocket cover and the oil cap.

also, I got a rearset from him however it seemed like I got the set of screws/bolts mixed up (two brakes instead of clutch/brake). may be he can throw a correct set in the GB box for me to save on shipping costs.
Let me know. Thanks Vince.

You got my support

I am definitely willing to support Paul. I believe that he has something going here from the looks of his site. He has some good after market parts that no one here in the states is offering. I have been searching around the net for some quality parts and so far Paul has the best, in my opinion. So Im all for supporting him. Plus, he's the only one offering these kind of parts for our beloved 250r. I wouldn't mind advertising his company on my bike. Thats how impress I am. Im actually planning on re modificating (is that a word?) my bike based on his parts. Im interested in all of them. The only issue I have is the distance and the added shipping cost. But with this idea would completely eliminate that. As of now, I want the fender eliminator and rear hugger (both painted shiny black) and maybe the smoke integrated tail light (if i get a good price). Please give me some details on how to order.
