Hitch Pin for rear Axle nut?

Hi... real quick, what Size, specs of a Hitch Pin (or Hair clip) whatever you guys call it, would be Right for the Rear Axle Nut? Cotter Pins suck and only have 2-3 uses b4 you need to replace em.

I was at Lowes and they had a 3/4" hitch pin, and a 1/2" hitch pin. Neither looked like they'd be able to Fit/Bend/Slip over and around the rear axle nut!

I use em... can't look right now but they're about 1 1/4" inch long.

Aye ok, ill keep that in mind when i go to the 'TSC' Tractor Supply Company. the mechanic at work, Rick, said to try looking there for a Hitch Pin to fit my rear axle nut. As they would have All kinds of sizes, heavy duty, light duty,etc!

for you local michiganians, TSC (nearest one for me) is at 26mile rd. & gratiot.

Yo ill post a UPDATE on the RIGHT SIZE Hitch Pin, once i one.
