Upper fairing stay bracket question

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie and maybe this is a stupid question, but oh well.

On the upper fairing stay bracket, where the side fairings and upper fairing interlock and bolt onto the frame, is the actual piece that the fairings bolt onto supposed to be bent or flat?

My bike has been dropped a few times by both myself and the previous owner and I want to know if it is bent because of that, or because it is supposed to.

Asking because I am replacing my fairings this week.
