[visordown.com] - Crutchlow confirmed with LCR Honda for 2015

LCR HONDA have 'proudly' announced that Cal Crutchlow will be their rider in 2015 after Ducati Corse released a statement a couple of hours ago about parting company with the British rider at the end of 2014.

Taking to Twitter, LCR Honda said: "LCR is proud to announce 2015 rider @calcrutchlow. More Details coming soon. Great support from @CWMFX."

Following on from their brief announcement, LCR Honda elaborated: "[We are] pleased to officially announce that British rider Cal Crutchlow will join Cecchinello's squad in 2015 MotoGP campaign riding the Honda RC213V Factory Spec.

"The 29-year-old from Isle of Man will compete in the premier class for the fifth year counting on Honda HRC support and the brand-new LCR Main Sponsor CWM."

LCR Honda CEO Lucio Cecchinello concluded: "We want to thank Cal for his trust in our 2015 racing project and we are excited to line up with new Team colours thanks to the cooperation with CWM. In the mean time we will keep working hard to end the current season in the best way."

Crutchlow is currently 14th in the MotoGP World Championship mainly due to technical faults with his Ducati, but with this switch to LCR Honda - who have factory support - we may see the British rider back on that elusive podium.
