09 GSXR 600 shock onto 09 250r

Just bought an 09 GSXR 600 rear shock.

I've heard it's possible to make it work on new-gen 250r.

Is it true that the ride height will drop 2" in the rear?

Thanks. If there are aftermarket dogbones which will get me back up to stock height, and anyone has them laying around [unused] -- plz let me know.

I've heard and seen an SV650 rear shock install on the 09-12 250, but never a GSXR600 rear shock. I've even seen one person use ZX6 shock, and also a Ninja 650 shock.

Happy to help out.

Many ninjette members have also completed this mod, including myself. Having raced/track days on it for a number of years it is a decent bang for buck mod.

Yeah it'd be nice to have more adjustment on my suspension. For racing/track days. One reason I love my 636 for track days.
