I'm definitely not able to do any track days for a while, but does anyone know if there is a solid class for people with modified 300s (after market exhausts, airbox, etc.)? I read through the cvma website and it looks like the only thing a 300 can run in without being outclassed is the ultralightweight showdown, is that correct?

as of right now that is the only racing class that any 300 of any kind can race in at CVMA. As far as track days go, you can bring whatever the heck you want.

Yep, on Saturday she passed me on the front straightaway and not under the brakes. I was confused because I looked back a lot and I had very large gap in the back and she came out of nowhere.

Passing strategy came into play as I was trying to assess how I would get her. I noticed she has good power out technique. My only chances were entry and apexing of turns. Her weight advantage over me and powering out of turns would not work. I almost reclaimed my spot a couple times but she would easily power out. I remember asking myself if she's on a 300.

Alex Dunstan and I talked about it and he said she is. I got to talk to her in the pits and told her she's a kick ass racer.

I got some decent footage from that race that I am working on and edit on.

Well, that, and all the bigger twins classes (Formula Twins, Formula 2, Lightweight Shootout) and of course the open classes like Femmewalla.

If we're doing tacos again, we should do it like we did before. You can bring that jerk chicken stuff, I can go to the seedy messican place in the valley for proper carne asada, Bryan can bring the ninja blender for margaritas, Steve can bring hummus or whatever other weird **** he puts on tacos, so on and so forth

So in all seriousness, what's the overall preference for everyone else on how to do the potluck this time? Everyone bring something, or pitch in to let Darren make it all fancy? I'm good with either method, but I can't make myself do work right now, so I think we should all discuss race weekend related things instead

I so seriously suck at packing for the track that I'm always amazed (and grateful) that Darren always seems to step up and get all the good stuff. Other than the 250 nite, I rarely eat a "real" meal at the track.

I lived on Costco trail mix and Costco spiced rum pretty much the entire weekend last round, but will try to step-up and bring more communal munchies and drinkage next round. . .
