Daytona Water Temp Gauge Problem??

Hey everyone need a little help.

I've had my daytona temp gauge installed and running perfectly fine for over a year now. But just a few days ago it stop working,And how do I know this?

well the gauge is stuck with the reading of 71.7F, its been hooked up to my ignition system from day 1; so the battery is charged, the backlighting still turns on when I turn the ignition on, But when i do that its supposed to go from reading the time to the temp reading but its just stuck at 71.7F and vice versa when turning off the ignition.

Ive already checked my power connections, they're all good, and I've tried to disconnect the sensing probe from the harness but the reading still stays at 71.7F.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Still stuck at 71.7, or did it fix itself?

sounds like a bad sensor... or the wiring to the sensor is busted... try running a multimeter on the sensor and see what you get. you'll probably get an "open" line if the sensor is busted. most of those temp sensors are thermistors so they vary resistance based on heat
