[hell for leather] - Kawasaki Z300: baby naked coming to America?

Here’s the first pictures of the new Kawasaki Z250, courtesy Indonesia’s TMCBlog, where small, practical bikes like these are enormously popular. But, it’s being rumored that, like the Ninja 300, a Kawasaki Z300 could reach both the US and Europe. Scheduled for an official unveiling tomorrow, the bike uses the same parallel-twin engine, steel frame [...]

Not my cup of tea, if I wanted a naked sports bike i'd do it properly and get a KTM Duke 200.

I like it but won't hold my breath for its arrival anywhere in North America. Naked bikes never seem to sell well here. Thanks for posting.

@Jono, Remember when the 300 was still a rumor? Then it came out and you and I were discussing how good it would look as a naked bike?

They gone done it good yo. I would ride that without a second thought.

EDIT: now it will be easier to make a 300 into a street-fighter if someone crashes. Just buy parts from the Z250/300

Nice!!! I guess this is Kawa's answer to the 390 Duke and CB500. Can't wait to see a comparison once they are all released.

It looks great, but the KTM seems like the winner to me. However, I do think the Kawa will beat out the Honda.

I think the KTM is going to have better suspension parts, but I still am not fond of thumpers in sport bikes. Plus, we don't yet know the prices.

Maybe I'm just ignorantly biased, but hey

Yeah, I hear ya. If only the Kawa had inverted front forks like the Duke. And I am sure the Kawa will be the cheapest of the three. Which will definitely help out sales.

Oh and I forgot Suzuki has that lame naked 250 bike now. It doesn't stand a chance with the others.

I'm sure it's going to be a Z300 in any market with the EX300A.

The new player in the local market here....Suzuki GW250.Rp 36.000.000.
The Z250 looks hot but this will do well due only to the lower price.

it's such a shame that naked bikes are so unpopular in the us...

For now honda has it right with their CB500F and CB1000.
sexy bikes indeed.

I call it a "standard" as opposed to "naked," even though I know what "ER6n" and "ER6f" mean (naked and faired).

Those mirrors and handlebars are going to be pretty popular mods for our older bikes.

If I had to guess, I'd say almost exactly the same as the ex300, minus about 5 pounds in fairings.

You're more than welcome to take mine for a spin around the parking lot or whatever. Maybe even for a session on the track if csmith12 lets me take his R6 for a session.

Today I've seen the z250 besides the 2013 250 (here in LoS the 300 is a 250) and it looks absolute great (better then on pictures).
The 250, what you know as 300, stood besides and sorry to say but this is not my thing.

Why hide the engine? Maybe it's an Asian thing. The bike would look better without those side pieces. I do like the tubular handlebar, though.
