I finally got a pregen!!!!!
Hey guys. Happy to be here. Got my first pregen after wanting one since around 2005 lol. Been riding off and on for 15 years. I've owned 6 bikes prior to this
The pregen being my 7th. I currently also own and love my 2017 Yamaha Fz07. I picked up my pregen in July in VERY poor condition for very little money and have been fixing it up as time and cash have allowed. I'll share some before/after photos once I figure out how. Almost done restoring it to my liking. |

Hello Paul, welcome to the board! I got an MT-07 in October and really love it. It seems like Yamaha has been following me around for a couple years, figuring out exactly what I want in a motorcycle. It has plenty of power, and has been averaging right around 60 mpg, by the display and by calculation.
But I'm not getting rid of my '05 250 any time soon. |

All right fellas I figured it out. here is my pre-gen as it looked on the day I picked it up from a friend's garage. It had been rotting there for about five years.

This is from about two days ago. The front signals and reflectors have since been deleted and front gaining is now painted. Been working on repainting it for a couple weeks now.

Finished deleting front blinkers and reflectors and painted the fairing. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

I carefully cut out some plastic about 1/16" to the shape of the hole and super glued that in as a backer. The filled with body filler, smoothed with glazed putty/sanding and painted it.
