New Off-Season Hobby

All this cold weather sucks. It's too cold to take the bike out and it's too cold to work on it in the garage. So I decided to take up a new hobby... Snowboarding Wondering if anyone else on here snowboards, too.

Lucky! Yeah, Hawaii's real nice. Was there this past summer visiting Oahu. I'd love to go back but the flight is killer!

Northern Virginia. And wow, mid-April is a loooong time to wait. At least you have something to keep you occupied.

Kelly, I thought it would be the same here in Florida until this week's weather started hitting. You had better not brag too much or karma will come back to bite you!

Back on topic... Snowboarding is something that I've wanted to try, but my chances to get to snow are few and far between. How painful is the learning curve?

It all depends on how quickly you pick up. JK It really isn't too bad but I'll let my gf answer that one after I teach her.

Not that bad. The first time I went I was sore for a few days after. But it's pretty easy to get the hang of. And as long as the snow is soft and not frozen, the falls don't hurt that much.

I used to snowboard all the time when I lived near Breckenridge CO. Loved it up there. But unfortunatly, Georgia doesnt get much snowboarding weather.
