Maryland - (Howard County) - 8/5/2012

This Sunday, August 5 @ 10 am - meeting at the old Harley Davidson dealership on Rt 1/Troy Hill Road.

We plan on riding towards the north/western end of Howard County, into Carroll County.

So far, I have probably 5-8 people riding (Non-Ninjettes).

If you're interested, great and see you there.

Let me know though, that way I know if we have to expect you and not leave without you.

If this is not a good day for you, maybe you can join us on Aug 18th (I'll start a new thread for that one when I'm ready...that will be more of a 'southern MD' trip.)

yes. they should have had all the parts at the latest on Wednesday but i still doubt i will receive a call tomorrow saying its ready.

tell them your going to ride without the fairings, and to call you when they come in.

didnt even know i could do that. they should have them by now. they charged me like 4 labor hours i think, how long (days wise) should it take? tomorrow would be the 4th day they had all the parts assuming they got all the parts on wednesday with time to start putting them in

assuming all the fairings are damaged including the undertail and front cowling it could take them anywhere from two-three hours. 4 is too much, unless they encountered a fitment problem.

visit the shop and see how the work is progressing.
if they haven't started and everything else works just take it for a ride.

i rode street fighter for a month while i waited for a good deal on some plastics, lol.

it seems that my handlebar is a bit out of alignment, do you think someone there will be able to help re align it before we leave?

no, they said some parts came it a little late and they had my bike first on the list for monday. i asked if i could get the bike for the weekend and also the turn signal that got ripped off during my crash. they gave me both and i replaced the turn signal my self. everything is all scratched up tho thats why i said it wont be the prettiest

you can take the handlebar off and put it in a vise.

slip a long metal pipe over it and try to bend it back.
bend it a little bit at a time until the pipe goes through to the mount.

you might want to get clipon style bars in the future. they are real easy to fix with raw stock.

We're aware there's a chance of rain tomorrow afternoon. I personally do not want to ride in the rain. We will watch the weather forecast and I'll post by 9 am if it's still a go or not.

rain may ruin my plans too, =/ and just looked up the meetup, its like 30 mins away from me, basically just go down rt 1. I'm looking forward to the 18th...we gotta plan something up as it gets closer.

It was my husband (zx10), some guy we randomly met once and never road with before (R1), myself and Old Lemon that showed up.

We were expecting 3-4 more, but that's what sucks when you try and get a group together - not everyone really shows up.

I went out for a quick ride after work, heading towards Elkridge from the Columbia Mall area. It was nice and sunny until I took a look in my mirrors, the sky was black as night behind me and sunny as all hell in front of me. I hightailed it home, needless to say.
