Agreed. On more than one occasion I've flat out said no to girls who asked me to buy them a drink - then ordered myself one. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it doesn't turn them off.

If I'm buying a drink for a girl it's because I want to, not because I expect something in return - or because they've bought me one and I'm returning the favor. Usually only the case in a close group of friends, though.

It has never been my scene, but I have been told by women, in a professional setting (get your mind out of the gutter), that they get a sense of power out if it. They just want a free drink and to feel the power over men by (ab)using their sexuality... flirt a little and watch guys IQ drop.

I have bought lots of drinks for women in bars but the drinks usually came after she was already giving me her attention.

My boyfriend and I seldom go to bars, but when we do we tend to take turns buying the rounds.

When I was single, I did on occasion accept free drinks, however, as I got older I realized that it's a potentially dangerous thing to do. If you're not there to see the bartender actually make the drink, the guy buying can slip anything he wants into the drink (roofie colada, anyone?). So, yeah. I wouldn't encourage any woman to do it.

I have done a great deal of "relevent questions", I was curious to what people thought about this topic, so I brought it up (see my first post on what certain females think when they go to bars). And plus, questions like why are black bikes faster and why does carbon fiber cost so much would be in general motorcycle section, not OFF TOPIC!!! For those people that don't understand what off topic is...its a topic NOT RELATED TO MOTORCYCLES!!!! (such as this one)

and to anwer the question on why black bikes are faster....their NOT, red ones are!

yes that is 100% correct. We had some MMA fights here last weekend and we needed ring girls for the fights so at the bar I work at we had the "ring girl competition"....Now if you've ever seen a ring girl at a boxing match or MMA fight you know that they are VERY VERY attractive. Well I thought that at the ring girl contestwe would have some hotties at the bar........YEA NO. These chicks were hideous.....just goes to show ya!

You are so right about people slipping something into your drink. This advice goes for both sexes as their are people out there that will slip something into a mans drink so they can mug him later in the night.

Trust me no fabulous lifestyle. I'm a pre-med college student who works 4-part time jobs and goes to school full-time....its tough man! but the bar is a pretty cool place I must say. I always have people trying to tip me out in drugs at the end of the night....but I don't use so its funny haha

I won't buy a woman drinks if its just that. If I'm in a convo with them and they are actually interesting I would consider it. Now if she buys me a drink I will always offer to buy the next round. If I ask someone to go out with me to the bar while I won't pay for her entire night I will indeed buy her drinks throught the night. I'm not a tight wad, but I find women by just being myself and not going out of my way to talk to them. I can't tell you how many times I've been sitting at the bar watching TV and seeing men walk up to girls and chat them up all night. When they get done spitting their game and get turned down I just look over and smile and shake my head and I end up getting that after bar phone call / txt or add on facebook. (Yes I've seriously had women seek me out from just my name on facebook to send me PMs). I think women can tell the difference between a man thats real and a guy that just out to play the game.
