My 2006 Ninja 250.

Hey new around here.
Love riding my bike it is a 2006 Ninja 250.
Purchased with 2k miles, has 3200 now. Freshly cleaned carbs, new battery and tires. Mint condition runs great.

I stripped the flames, added some new decals and a tank pad.
Also did a fender eliminator for like 3 bucks =D.

Here she is.

Looks good. I have the same bike. I've had bigger bikes and this one is by far the best cornering, most fun bike I've owned and I've been a daily rider for over 20 years. Enjoy it! Congrats!

Thanks guys! I love this bike its a blast.

Going to be doing all the maintenance myself.

I really dont like the stocker tires though I just dont trust them like I feel I should. What are the largest tires I can fit on here without modifying the bike at all?!

My experience has taught me that larger tire size doesn't necessarily mean better. The stock size tires on the 250 are more than reliable in cornering and theres enough contact patch for the light n tight little bike to hug the road nicely. The stock brand however is a different story. Just my opinion. ..if you're not racing this bike, stay with the stock size but go with a higher quality tire. The bike is a top performer in its stock design. I know the big tires look cool on the "other guys" bikes but the 250 doesn't need them to pass those dudes on the corners. Counter steering, lean angle, slow in and fast out, loose hands....etc etc. That stuff makes the difference. Just my opinion. I'm not a pro.

And btw, my Dad had a Kymco 150 scooter that I played around with a coupke years ago. I cornered that thing like a rock star and it had little pizza cutters. Cornering is an art to be practiced for a lifetime.

You should've left the flames on. It would've been a faster bike.

Good lookin' bike! Welcome to the forum.

You can't go wrong with stock size Pirelli Sport Demons or Bridgestone BT45's.

Okay maybe it is the stock rubber then, I am not doing it to look cool or anything I just dont feel the bike is stable on these terrible texas roads... A lot of ruts and stuff in the roads these skinny tires easily fall into.

Understandable. With new tires you'll trust em more, even in the grooves. I know Texas has a lot of concrete roads too but you'll get used to the wiggle feeling. I ride my buddies harley sometimes and I can feel the grooves in certain highway conditions and his tires are HUGE. I'm in Florida and we have a lot of bridges with those corrogated metal grates. Talk about feeling unstable! Especially when they're wet but I'm used to it and I know the bike isnt going anywhere. I DO NOT corner hard on any questionable surface though. Its a no brainer ...but stickier tires will be better for ya. I'm with the Pirelli guy. Good tires. They will bite into all the imperfections in the road and actually grip the scary grooves. Remember, motorcycles grip in corners by nature. Its the science at work. Centrepital and centrifugal force in regards to motorcycles are terms you can look up. There's a lot of good reading on the web explaining this beautiful phenomenon. It is helpful for people having problems trusting skinnier tires. Like I said before. My dads little 150 scooter was rock solid on all surfaces with basically bicycle size tires. Its all science. He was blown away when I demonstrated its capabilities for him.
