I did this mod about two years ago and noticed no major change good or bad I wanted to ditch the bulky packs. When I went to rebuild the bike at the start of this season I had no spark on one cylinder and diagnosed it as a bad coil. Unfortunately I must have sold the other 2 coils and connectors (the ZX has 4). There is no way I would have thrown them out I have spare parts/track day bins for each of my bikes.
Frustrated I ordered another set on eBay. I didn’t pay attention to the years and ended up buying a set for a 09-12 zx6r (that’s the listing anyway) I benefitted from my mistake in that although they run the same connector they are much shorter than the older bike ones I bought previously (per this thread instruction). They sit nearly flush to the ninja valve cover |

Next time my fairings are off I will try for a better installed picture. No noticeable difference (Id question the honesty of anyone who says they feel performance gains on a 250 of just about any mod).

I can add that the ninja 300 cops work great and are cheap on ebay
