It shook the building I was working in pretty good (Motorola in Mira Mesa/San Diego). Made a lot of paperwork for me in Security and phone lines were jammed too. No damage but a lot of fire doors were shaken loose from their magnetic door holders and several of the sprinkler heads in both buildings lost thier "trim" (a metal ring that goes around them to dress up the rough holes cut into ceiling tiles). It's the first quake I ever felt and it was a big one.

Man, I feel so ripped off. I didn't feel it at all.

I'm sorry, I know it's terrible, but I pictured this and couldn't help but laugh. I don't know that this one really counts as death by earthquake.

Sounds like they held up pretty well over there so far, all things considered.

Thought I might have felt the bike swaying when it was up in the stands..

Think the lights flickered on and off for a second too like normal for "a big one".

The shaking wasn't really pronounced here in my garage enough to warrant me feeling it until I was later told and realized I did think I felt something. lol

Too far away from the epicenter. Calexico is still a ways off from here.

I feel like LA or more likely San Francisco is next in line above the Chile and Mexico quakes.

A good one in SF could do an amazing amount of damage in very little time.
