Heads up! NCBIKE in Oct... SUPER deal

The track day organization I ride with, Tony's Track Days, is looking into booking a three-day event at NCBIKE (aka NCCAR) October 14, 15, 16.

https://www.tonystrackdays.com/categ...kRx5MI1yoWcFW8

I've never been there but by all accounts it's a terrific track, located on the NC/VA border.

Here's the deal:

Limited participants (about 50 riders TOTAL)
Two groups (slower and faster)
They'll run both directions

2 days, $300 or 3 days $400 (!!!)

All this adds up to a TON of track time at a great course for short change, run by an excellent provider.

There's just one catch: This is for riders who have been on track before. NO first-timers.

Caveat: The event is under consideration. Tony needs 50 people to commit to it before he'll rent the track.

I'd really love to go... but don't think I can due to unplanned expenses this summer.

Damn, all during the week

Just started up a 9-5 job so I doubt I'll be able to make it unless vacation time kicks in by then

Update: Right now there are 35 people. Looks like the track will get rented, but for 2 days and the price would have to be $350. Still a heck of a deal.

That may change if more people get on board.

Ohhhhh, I've heard NCCAR is a really good course.

I decided not to go this year when NCR SCCA hosted Time Trials there. I had just been at CMP 2 weeks prior and that drive to NCCAR was a little too long for me from out here in the mountains that quickly after CMP. Maybe next year I can get my crap together and get there for that event also.

Have fun and post up some videos if you end up going!!!

2 day for $350 is a steal

I so want to go to this but I will not be around at that time. Hope this year is a success so they do it again next year. Might even be able to get the wife to go along!

I know this is a bunch of "ifs" lol, but if they do it again, if we can get a group together, I would be in for it. It looks like a fun track.

NC Bike running cheap days.... interesting to say the least. I feel there is more to this story than meets the eye. ttd is not the only org that has super cheap days this go round.

Anyone have any insight? When multiple orgs start having discounted days for a track, it makes me wonder why? Ya'lls know me, I don't assume anything bad, just makes me scratch my head.

NCBike has very low cost of operations like Jennings. It's not unusual for them to run cheap days here and there. Weekday combined with a multiday discount the price makes sense and is consistent with their pricing across the last few years. Still on the cheaper side though. Most of the local orgs use NCBike to help bankroll less successful or more expensive dates on their callendar

I think NCCAR is more oriented towards other things. Track days for cars and bikes are just cheddar in their free time. That's more or less how I understand things. I didn't hear any complaints from people who went for the local SCCA chapter's time trials.

Thumbs up

Did this event ever happen? I was there 10/5 & 10/6 with Evolve GT. It was 165 a day with their grip membership. I made 2 trips to NCBIKE in 2019. In April and October. Fun track! I raced my N400 in Evolves Motogladitor series there!
I plan on hitting NCBIKE in April of 2020 and a few more times during the year.

I don't think any of the Ninjette crew made it, but it happened
