Carburetor issues

I have a 2012 250r im working on. When fully warm and choke off the bike idles like garbage for a while then dies (sometimes it just stays idleing like garbage around 1k) When trying to give it gas it'll just instantly die. I have noticed just looking without really taking anything apart a vacuum nipple (possibly) isn't connected is there suppose to be? I will post a picture

Thanks

different angle, from front side of carbs, hose marked in yellow should be connected between RH carb barb and forward barb on decel valve as shown

coincidentally, just finished refurb on these this morning and snapped a pic in this view

So everything should be connected the correct way now, but it is still having idle issues after choke is off. Even playing with the idle control it still studders then dies and instantly dies apon throttling. Carbs were cleaned and rebuilt, fresh gas was added as well. I know im probably missing something any other suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What was motive prompting carb clean? Was bike dormant for extended period?

Plastic port in original photo is for venting to atmosphere. There should be hose on it that goes back between intake-runners and down to rear-shock like other vent & drain hoses. That hose should be open so carbs can reference outside pressure for proper float-bowl operation.

What procedure and tools were used to clean carbs?
Difference before & after in behavior?

So before I go in to details about the carb I've got a stupid questio. Would a bent air filter housing cap cause low idle and stall? Then instantly stall once throttle is use?

Welcome to Ninjette, btw

not stupid questions. Your issue is not airflow, but insufficient petrol to match increased airflow when you crack open throttle. While you only need 1/14.7th as much fuel as air (by mass), it may be very difficult to get even that little amount through tiny little holes and passages. Do search here for "clean carbs ducatiman" for threads of others with same problems.
