Lesson to be learned
My wife and I took a trip earlier today to get some food from our favorite place by seal beach. On our way home, a CBR1000rr caught my attention. It was a really nice bike however, the guy was speeding and cutting people off. About 3 minutes later, my wife and I got to our exit and this particular exit has a nice quick looping turn. As we approached exit, there were traffic. Everyone slowed down and was going around something that seemed to be in the middle of the road so I told my wife to be careful. As we got closer, the rider was on the side of the road sitting down (appears to be in some sort of pain) and no one offered to help. I have not forgotten the help I got from another biker when I was stranded so I asked him if he was okay. I got out of the car, helped him pick up his bike and pushed it to the side. There was a lot of fluids pouring from the bike and lots of damage. From what I saw, the damage consisted of:
1. broken clutch/brake lever 2. fairings had a lot of damage on left side of the bike 3. forks completely bent and brake rotors broke. The bike could only be turned to the left 4. windshield was cracked 5. headlights had deep scratches Bike had a lot of carbon fiber parts too so its going to suck. Im sure the bike is totaled anyway. It was the 2012 CBR1000rr 20th anniversary edition. Really felt bad for the guy. We spoke for a bit and then I left him as he called for a tow truck and his insurance company. Anyway, lesson is to always ride within your ability. He was unfamiliar with the exit and took it too fast, and crashed. Always be careful, especially with unfamiliar roads. So ride safe guys |

You did well helping him.

Thanks. No one even offered to help him. He just sat on the side of the road as others drove around him. I remembered when I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere and no one stopped by to ask if I needed help or anything. A guy on a Hayabusa stopped by and went out of his way to buy me gas so... I was more than happy to help him any way I could.

Awesome job. It doesn't take much to give back, and make an impression on someone. You truly lived the brotherhood of riding. Good show!
