Superficial thread... Nicest-fitting women's jackets? :)

Safety comes first, of course, but why not have gear that looks awesome on you as well?

What are the best-fitting women's jackets you've come across? I've tried on a bunch and it seems like most of them fit really boxy. I don't want to look like a miniature man on a bike, I want the curves to show.

What I've gathered from the "What's in your closet?" thread is that Joe Rocket jackets are generally more curvy-fitted and slim in the waist (Luna, Lotus, Cleo) due to the adjusters in the back. Any other reviews?

____________

I have the Shift Siren leather jacket, and it is fail in the figure-flattering department. It feels very durable, however.

I have an Alpinestars TX-1 Stella Leather Jacket.

Not comfortable at all! Does not fit nicely for anyone who has boobies bigger than a b-cup. Whenever I wear the jacket, I feel like a very tightly wrapped burrito on my upper torso, but it's loose towards my waist. When I wear this jacket for over an hour, my back and shoulders start to feel strained.

On a positive note, when I low sided, this jacket saved me a trip to the hospital. The jacket is very solid.

I also have a Shift Mesh Jacket. It's comfortable, the arms are a smidge longer than I would like, but it's comfortable! It fits the boobies nicely

Zev,

Those are both of the jackets that I've been looking into getting. I'm glad this was posted. I'm a DDD, so I'll need to find another leather jacket because that will not work for me. The girls can't be all tied up.

I'm currently wearing a Speed and Strength Kiss & Tell jacket. I love it. It is very adjustable everywhere. You can adjust the waist on the sides and in the back, the mid arm section, your wrists, and hip area. As I'm working on weight loss, I'll still be able to adjust it as I slim down. But for now, I can make the adjustments to make it comfortable for me. It also does not constrain the girls.

The JR stuff is great to flatter the figure, and the scorpion is pretty nice too. I'm with y'all in the girls department to an even larger extent - I've managed to get them into a JR Trixie medium but it definitely moves with the girls rather than my shoulders or arms... I think my Cleo2 is a M as well, and the Luna is a large, but it's actually tighter in the chest than the other two, meaning that they don't all run the same, even within a manufacturer....
I'll post up a pic of my newest jacket in the thread I started about it - I was actually surprised that it isn't any larger looking than it is, and almost flattering in a glaringly bright, in-your-face sort of a way!

Yes I did. I really like it. It has plenty of zippered vents all over and a zip out liner vest for cooler days.

If you are talking purely aesthetics I really think this is a good looking woman's jacket and pant combo, but its a bit pricey:

I don't have any info in terms of fit since my significant other doesn't ride.

So after showing this thread to my significant other and slowly trying to coerce her into riding ; she wanted me to ask the women on the board what cute but functional leather jacket/pant combo they would recommend. I believe she is going to end up going more of the cruiser route so the ergonomics should be better suited for that rather then a sport bike. She is about 220 5'5" size 18 with a b cup bra size. Any ideas where we could find the right gear?

For her size, and in leather on the cruiser end of the scale, I'd look at Harley's stuff. While much of it is "lifestyle" gear, you can actually find really good protection in many of their products, and the fewer logos on it, the lower the price.

also try motorcycle closeouts - but read reviews on sites such as webbikeworld and new enough to get ideas of sizing... for example, if she were to order an 18 in filedsheer, she'd find that it's actually more of an overpant for a 12....

a) I Like those Icon pants...on..um...well not on me. But I will say that I think they are hazardous for riders. Mostly of the male gender seeing a lady rider wearing that ;-)
b) So, non-ATGATT story, but on female riders...mass traffic, leaving O'Neill tunnel one day, nice summer afternoon. late 90's red CBR 1K, girl in jeans and tank top and "bettie page" figure hunkered over the gas tank with helmet on, flips to fast-lane and red-line shifts it taking off. I practiced my very good emergency braking in my cage about a split second later, and had the driver in front of me glaring as to why I was parked on his exhaust pipe.
This was something they don't teach you in the MSF!
