Let's talk jet kits

I have a 2004 ninja 250. I have JRE slip on dual exhaust. Currently I have stock jets with dyno jet needles. I have a 2-1 muzzy system on the way, and I want to know is the Dyno jet kit a good kit to use or should I spring for the Factory pro jet kit. I would assume I would have to use the bigger main and pilot jets from my dyno jet kit after I install the 2-1 muzzy system. Also I am running a stock air box with a Uni drop in filter.

Your existing DynoJet kit should be fine.

2-1 exhaust optimises mid-range and loses high-end. Similar to powerband of new-gen. So you’ll most likely want to go with smaller main jets, raise needles 1-2 clip positions and perhaps unscrew pilot 1/4-1/2 turns out. Will need to do dyno-testing and/or wideband datalogs before & after to fine-tune. Most important part of optimal tuning is gathering objective quantitative AFR data.
