Stores in Socal that carry Alpinestars Supertech R?

Was thinking of hitting up Bert's Mega Mall in Azusa but if you know of any stores closer to LA or Orange County area that carry them please let me know.

Mainly will be using the store to find my size.

Del Amo motorsports out here has them and then you can come chill with us! They don't have a ton so you might want to call and see if they have sizes in the general area you're looking for.

I don't live near you but...

Consider supporting your local store instead of just whoring them out. If you keep buying stuff in foreign places and having it shipped, where will you go to find sizes when the store goes out of business? My local store matches online prices within reason.

That is all. Carry on.

^^ that's all fine and dandy until every local store in your area refuses to carry any race suits because they're expensive and it's OH...

You've never been to Cyclegear? They have a showroom floor. You can order all sorts of stuff that's not on the floor, and they have an awesome exchange/return policy.

A few years ago they'd charge you restocking fees for returns but they've really changed their policy (100% satisfaction guaranteed).

They also hold bike nights and raffle off a lot of good stuff.

I really like them.

Naw, I need to look them up, they probably closer to me than Del Amo Motorsports!

Agreed.

Also agreed. I try to buy local, but it sometimes doesn't work out. For boots a few weeks ago, I went to one of the larger local gear shops, and they had exactly nothing in my size of the models I wanted to even try on. I headed home, and ordered what I needed to online.

yea, that happens for sure, and there's not really much to do aside from order online. You could probably put the order in through the store and avoid shipping costs, but from a convenience standpoint, I typically order online in those situations as well. But if you're searching out a store that has what you are looking for in stock so that you can try it on, go home, and pay someone else for that product you just tried on...

<offtopic> just recently however, I purchased a stroller for a kid that's on the way. I did my research, figured out what I wanted, went to the local store that had the stroller and they didn't have the color my wife wanted. Then came the decision to order online, or order through the store. I chose the store. Not only did they assemble it for us for free, but they gave us a free $50 attachment for the stroller for ordering through them instead of buying online. Definitely didn't cost me more than $50 to buy through the store. </offtopic>

^^ yepp, I try not to use storefronts as trying rooms for unrelated online vendors because it's just not fair to the store. Same with bicycle stuff; if I use the local shop for help, I'll buy the part from the local shop because it's not fair to then go get stuff online.

Unfortunately, the local dealer that treated me like a moron while asking about spine armor and race suits just lost all my business because of how they treated me. (sure, I look like I'm 15, but that doesn't mean they get to treat me like an idiot when I'm prepared to drop almost 4-digits on a race suit and back armor) If anything, their interaction has made me unlikely to ever shop there again and very willing to bash them to other riders. STG on the other hand is really impressing me so far...

I've checked 5 different major stores this past weekend and none of them carried the highend racing boots. They said they'll only take orders and if the sizes don't fit they need to charge restocking fee. Screw that!

Thanks but I don't think shops like them would carry the highend racing boots. I could be wrong. Wanna check for me?

Have you looked at Revzilla.com? They have free returns if the sizing is off and I think they even pay return shipping.

Sorry to thread jack but does Bert's Mega Mall have a good selection of gloves? I found Cycle Gear doesn't have a good selection.

When I visited they pretty much had about the same brand of selection. In other words, they don't really carry the high end models.
