Wait for the Versys-X 300...
If you don't care having a 19'' front, 17'' rear... Or at least you'll have the right hub to lace a 17'' for the front. |

I am not sure WHY a person would want spoke wheels on a street bike. I am sure that I will never take my Ninja down a two track. It would be different, but WHY?

On a Z300, these would give me a boner (and be about half the weight):

Anybody know how heavy the stock Ninja 300 wheels are? I'm currently on a mission to reduce unsprung mass and this number would be helpful.

I've got some spare 250 wheels coming in for 2nd set of race-tyres. I think the front is same? I suppose rear on 300 would be another 1.5-2.0 lbs? Will weigh them when they come in.
Spoked wheels do have benefit of better bump-absorption, so if you're doing dirt-track or even uneven asphalt, you'll have better grip under cornering since you're not skipping off the tops of bumps and going wide. |
