Any fishing fanatics from SoCal in here?

I like fishing. I do mostly saltwater (pier, surf, and cattle boats), but I'll do fresh water too. Anything that lets me hold my pole in front of the water, I'm in....

Ideally, I'd like to ride the ninjette up and down the coast and go surf fishing hopping.

I frequent, or used to, the coast of San Pedro to Zuma throughout the year.
Redondo pier is my go-to for catching bait, crab, and few lobster. Yes, I said lobster.

I do catalina boat trips during late spring, summer, and early fall for white sea bass and yellowtail. Channel island trips are best for rock fishing during colder weather. I also try to do tuna trips from San Diego once a year during their migration.

So if anyone is interested in any type fishing, locally, let me know. It doesn't matter what time of day or weather, since darkness or rain is not always a bad thing.

Fishing fanatic here as well but freshwater fishing most of the time. I have a telescopic rod I throw in my bagpack and just take what I need from my tackle box... Love fishing for largemouths and stripers

Sounds like a plan. Btw, how do you manage to haul a hoopnet on the bike?

If you're ever in SoCal and want to go fishing, let me know.

You should try light tackle surf fishing. It can be just as boring, I mean fun as lake fishing...j/k. Landing a 5 foot leopard shark on 10 lbs line can be quite entertaining.
