Question about loud "pop" noise from exhaust (?)

Hey,

I have an 09 250R with 15,000 miles on it. I have been riding the bike pretty much every day since I bought her 5 months back but over the last couple of weeks I have been hardly riding.

Anyway, I noticed day before yesterday that when I started up the bike in the morning (choke was pulled in), I heard a short loud "pop" noise from the exhaust (gas tank was full). Kinda startled me but I assumed it was some condensation and took her out. The bike idles great, revs. great. After work (bike was parked outside in Milwaukee "cold" for 6 hours), I started the bike (pulled the choke in, no pop noise) and rode back home.

I didn't ride the bike yesterday and today. When I got back home today, I was curious about the pop noise. So I pulled the choke and started the bike. "Same" short loud "pop" noise. I actually have only a gallon of gas left in the tank right now. Took her out for a short ride and every thing **seems** fine.

I think it can't be condensation because I have a heated garage . So, if anyone can point me to possible sources of the noise OR where to look for trouble, it would be great.

Many thanks.

Bart

Common occurrence with the new-gen, nothing wrong with the bike and nothing to worry about.
