First real ride on the road with my license!!!

First day riding out of my subdivision. It felt better than I thought it would. I was surprised i was not more nervous but it was a great ride.

I have not gotten my bike yet, im getting a bonus at the end of July so im planning on getting the ninja 250 then. Should be riding by August 1. They have been selling fast in Atlanta so im hoping the two i have been eyeing will be there when i get cash in hand. Lucky for me two of my friends have bikes and have been letting me cruise around on theirs. One is the new honda cbr 250 which is really fun to ride and the suzuki gs500. which is way smoother than the honda in first gear and the clutch feels better but my heart is stuck on the ninja. The honda gave good power on the road but from what i hear the ninja is much faster. I cant wait.

Good Job
And I love the gs500/sv650, reminds me of the duc monster.
anyway once you get your ninja, don't forget to take out the snorkle and shim the needles, cause its gonna be a huge improvement.

Ohh I've never tried riding one, I just like the looks. it reminds me of the ducati monster, it's like the street/fighter look that I really like. (w/o the fairings)
I only took my baby to the shop 1 time, back then I had no idea how to do the oil change and the simple maintenance, and they've charged me a small fortune for something you can easily do yourself
Don't be afraid to do your own mods and maintenance because as a ninja 250 owner we have one of the best community with people who're willing to help us out.
You'll be needing to get some of your own tools and stuff to do your own mods and maintenance, that means that you have to spend a lil money on them, but I'm telling you it's gonna be much cheaper in the long run.

Ninja 250R > Suzuki GS500.

I had an accident about 8 years ago on a GS500. The handling isn't even in the same league as the 250R.

The GS500 has some nice low-end pull, but, overall, I came back to the Ninja.

What an exciting feeling! I remember my first time taking it out on a real road...a whopping 2.5 miles to a high school parking lot to do some practicing, but what a rush it was!! Congratulations on a successful first ride!

Ninja or CBR 250 is a perfect starting/forever bike.
I personally like the Ninja's lines and power better, although the new CBR's do have a shiny tachometer hahaha

+1 on shim the needles and pulling out the snorkel.

when i bought my ninja back in end of may the dealers near me couldnt get them..as soon as they would come in new or used they were gone within days! one dealer had the next 3 new ones that were coming in already sold! finally found a dealer out of state that had 2 of them in stock and i jumped on it. around me the ninja 250's sell like hotcakes.

I do like the digital with the clock on the cbr but from the reviews and looks I'm going with the ninja. I rode for about 30 miles on the cbr today and it was awesome. There are some good twisty roads by my house so it was interesting putting my msf skills to test. It was cool waving at the other bikers. Lol

Hahaha. This is exactly what I plan my first ride to be once my jacket comes in. Except the parking lot is only 1 mile away
