Let us know if your US spec 300 has one.

Funny, my $20,000 Harley has no kick stand switch. My $14,000 Goldwing has no kick stand switch. My $3,800 Ninja has a kick stand switch, rolf.

Interesting. Had no clue. I thought it was a DOT safety requirement. Guess not.

Mine doesn't have it.

It starts with my thumb print which is really stupid because I keep forgetting to start it before I put my gloves on. When you let the clutch out it will die though unless you have the stand up.

I have a 2014 300 though you guys have 2013s right?

can you take pics of the side stand mount?

if there are any wires near the kickstand then you most likely do have one.

The 300 has the same sidestand behavior as the 250, and every other US legal bike. There is a clutch safety switch, a kickstand safety switch, and a neutral sensor. Putting the kickstand down kills the engine if the bike is in gear. If the bike is in neutral, the bike will run with the kickstand down. The bike will not spin the starter gear unless the bike is in neutral or the clutch is pulled in. I just tested all of this on my new 300 (Cali model).

This was a silly rumor, that can be nipped in the bud at this point.

The 300's are 2013 models. We need to wait until July for the 2014's.

Obviously not, and the same info you based that on is what we read and is specifically what prompted the question in the first place: We wanted to confirm that. There is a TON of misinformation going around now from stock radial IRC tires to color/model availability to brake compound differences, so let's get some real answers from owners before repeating what we all heard already.

Everyone settle down! It has a sidestand switch. Just like every other modern motorcycle.
