Don't usually name my vehicles but kind of started calling mine "The Ninja Wii"or just "The Wii". Kind of a take on the Nintendo Wii. It's just so much fun you can't stop playing.

I named mine "The Kid" because i'm a big fan of Purple Rain. Plus my husband has a 750 Ninja and parked next to him in the garage, it looks like a younger brother. He even refers to it as The Kid.

I didn't have a name for the bike for a long time, but recently had a fantastic back road ride, one of those that makes me think the 250 is 100% all the bike I'll ever need 'cause I was burning bigger bikes, and I deemed it The Mighty.

I just got a DR350 but it got named Ugly Thumper pretty quick.

It is hideously '90s and I love it.

My 250r is named 'Wheezy', because of the gas cap noise.
My 900cc Thunderbird Sport is the 'Tangerine scream'.

A little back story first. I had the bike for 5 or 6 months when I'm leaving the bank to go back to my office and notice a nail in my rear tire! I haven't had a nail in one of my Jeep tires in years. It actually worked in my favor since I had the tire and wheel insurance and seemed to be burning through my stock tire sooner than I have seen others on the site. They ended up swapping the stock 120 for the stock 130 that comes on the ninja 500. I left the dealership to go fill her with gas. When I finished at the gas station and started to head out into traffic a car was nice enough to let me out. I got a little over zealous with my lean/throttle control on a slick new tire. Long story short I can say without question that the little Ninja CAN drift! Thus she was dubbed Lucy.

I've been pondering over a name for my bike since I got it, mostly because I couldn't decide if it's a girl bike or a boy bike. I figured I'd just let it happen naturally. Well, the other day I happened to catch glimpse of the bike from the front, and the way the mirrors are positioned.........well, it just popped into my head:

Garu! Because he's a little Ninja, and he wears black and red:

I just call mine 'bike-bike'. It goes with my whole naming scheme. My cats name is Kit-Kat, I call my dog Pochi, and my retired cop car is 'k-9' becouse it's a k-9 unit (and a Doctor Who reference).

Maybe not too thoughtfull, but easy to keep straight.

My bike has been variously called - by friends:

Blue Phantom

Blue Lightning

Blue Heron

I just call it "my bike".

Sortof, we jokingly refer to it as the "ningy" because the gentleman who sold it to me had it advertised as a "Ninga".

My bike's name was called Lolita by the first owner but I didn't like it so I renamed her to Clìodhna ( pronounced Clee-ah-nah), the Gaelic Queen of the Banshees whose roar incites fear in "the good people"

My bike gained a name on Christmas day when I took my avatar picture on a dirt road in the mountains.

"Horsey"

Because it is my horse.
And it looks like I'm patting it on the head like a miniature pony in my avatar picture. lol

Until such time as it obtains a better name anyways. She's my buckin' bronco.

Ok wait I just found her real permanent name.
Rose. After the tribal decal on the plastic. It looks like a rose kinda. Also the red accents. I drew a tribal rose that looked like this decal a few years ago as well. I think it was meant to be.

Much more suitable than "Horsey". lol
I had a feeling I'd be changing that soon.
