Celebrate with AreaP! (Possible GB)

After a short chat with Kerry Bryant (ninjette member @kbryant) from AreaP, I received this update:

"Many riders know that AreaP is based in SoCal but also maintained operations in Florida. In an effort to expand operations, the FL facility has been merged with the corporate location in SoCal in a building just 15ft away. Redundant efforts are now in one location and they now have a state-of-the-art AWD dyno up and running."

With this news in mind and to celebrate with Kerry and the rest of the AreaP staff, I thought I would work with them again to assist in organizing another “ninjette.org member only” GB. Since it’s still a bit early in the talks of the GB requirements, the # of participants, pricing, ect… I don’t have any real details at this time.

What I do need to know is, ya'lls got any interest in doing another GB?

Either way, let’s congratulate and celebrate with Kerry and friends on their move, success and continued support of the ninjette community.

I will confirm with Kerry on a possibility or maybe they happened across one, but current talks are of newgens and 300's.

I'm interested, but I'm also trying to sell my bike for quick cash for college.
Assuming I can't sell it within the next couple months, I'll be interested but maybe it'll be too late by then. lol

Hey Jay, got a homework item for you. You're considering other brand(s) of exhausts. Have you found any info on how well they hold up in crashes?

From what I have see, AreaP holds up very well in crash situations. Of course every crash is different and the strongest of metal can bend, but it's been my experience that AreaP holds up quite a bit better than some of the others. It would be interesting if others are seeing the same thing.

I will post a price when it is known, obviously that will have to come from Kerry.

I know area P wins that war chris. I have a feeling the LV may even rub at high leans. Thats why if i go area it will be the high mount race option. Thats why im wondering price, since as of right now its quite a large difference.

And since area p is actually on the forums often enough, would/could there be any additional gains with the high mount system if i switched to FI?

Hmmmm, not sure on that one, but a few of the MCRA 250 racers have the LV and they get pretty darn low.

Just got an update from Kerry, expect a GB thread with pricing soon. I will tag interested parties in the GB thread when it is posted.

As a 2 time customer of AreaP, wish nothing but the best for those members who choose to participate.

Feel free to ping me with any questions or comments.

pretty much this

My finances are a bit tight as I intend to be racing in the summer in either the atlantic or mid-atlantic ccs division (leaning atlantic because then I only have to master 2 tracks instead of 3) but with that said if the price is right I should be able to get an exhaust for my 300. Been wanting to do a little something to it for a while now

Depending on timing and price, might be in for high mount race system for a 250.

Chris may I ask you if there is any documented proof for this?

Sure you may ask and but I can't offer up any other experience than what I have seen and downs of my own with an AreaP.

Yea deal yo's.....

From my experience with racing/track riding 250's. Those who have had AreaP exhausts have fared better than those who have not. 100+ track days not counting races and coaching time.

LV = dented cans (no big deal)
Growler - detented cans (no big deal)
GP exhausts - missing cans (ummm... yea...)
Various slip-ons (various degrees of damage)
Muzzy = OK!!!
Yoshimura = OK!
AreaP = OK!

For a 250 crash, I have never seen their day over because of exhaust damage, not matter the brand. I can only say, I have been down on my the exhaust side of are my AreaP twice at high speed and all I ever needed was the band to hold it stable. Sure there was some rash on the can, but c'mon, go down at 90mph and tell me y'all ain't got no rash.

Sorry I can't provide a link with proof, I can only offer my experience of being there and seeing it with my own eyes.
