Here are pics, remember this is off a shittie phone camera with incorrect color balance, so what you see here is 2 times worse in person. The ****ing nut doesnt even match the stem (not that it matters but come on) AND the cap doesnt match...

That would look tacky if you put those on your bike as is. Spray paint them black or something. Ewww.

There are differnet shades of every color, the gold color for these valve stems are a lighter gold.

The valve stems are all made in Italy and annodized in Italy. The material you see on your levers is a different material, and annodizing will come out different.

The valve body is drop forged aluminum.

The caps are cast aluminum and has a thicker coat of annodizing on it, so it doesn't chip/scratch easly since it will be on the ground, in your pocket, stepped on by your mates at the track etc...

Also different lighting conditions will make them look different in color.

Here is the same valves, fitted onto an R6 with gold wheels.

As I said on my PM's, I'll come up with a solution to make you a happy customer, as I am here to make everyone happy by getting the highest quality parts for their motorcycles.

My rims will be "Brembo" gold, which from the pictures, looks similar to that r6. They do look a little off but not terrible. I'm hoping they match decently. If not, maybe black? AHHH!!! I'm freaking out!!!

Your bike wont be cool anymore, and EVERYONE will notice if your valve stems aren't color matched perfectly - LOL

I'm convinced that we are the ONLY ones who notice these things on our own bikes. Other people are just struggling to take in the awesomeness. I'm even in on the discussion and I think your bike looks great.

My wheels are gold and I went with the black stems because I thought they would look really tacky if they mismatched. I am happy with my decision.

Dude I'm really convinced of this. You guys on ninjette are seriously the only ones who can take a look at my bike and at the very least, say, ok, "this this and this look different." Everyone else just says, "huh. nice bike"

So I went to install these today and ran into a little snag. The nut for the back of the valve stem is a 14mm, but I don't have a single 14mm socket that will fit into the space to tighten it, and the spot is really too small for a wrench too. so I'm gonna have to turn down a socket on a lathe to make it work. Really frustrating since I wanted the tires mounted today. >_<

Me too, but like I think I mentioned in another couple posts, after the humiliation of replacing my engine partly out of over-obsession on perfection and partly out of this leading to damage, I have eased off a lot. Also as it ages, and the black plastics fade with UV damage, it isn't as shiny and new. I do still take pride in it though.

The reason I'm going to buy these valve stems is partly out of convenience of design, and also because they can be reused. They also don't look too shabby. A while back I bought a bunch of regular style cheapo stems on ebay, but I was never happy or comfortable with them. The caps didn't seem to seal well, and it seemed like a really bad idea to reuse them, instead of just not a wise idea, as with regular stems.... if that sentence makes sense.

The socket is literally like 1mm too wide to fit into the recess to tighten the nut.

The first two pictures are a little bit deceiving. The nut doesn't really sit up high enough to get a good grab on it with a wrench, especially with any amonut of torque without marring it up.

These are pregen 16" wheels. The 17's might be different, someone else will have to report. Just something worth mentioning. Not a problem for me as I already had the wheels off for refinishing. But if you're planning on doing this quickly, you'll want to know this ahead of time. I can measure the recess with a caliper to see exactly what the diameter of the socket needs to be. But that'll likely be tuesday.

I guess, but it's interesting no one else has mentioned having any problems. The socket in your picture looked normal enough... Perhaps the 17" wheels have a little extra clearance there.

Nobody has mentioned actually installing them yet. The socket is craftsman. Snap on is all I can imagine having a lower profile maybe. There really isn't a lot of room to spare.

Just installed one of them onto my CBR F4i front rim. The socket was indeed too thick on this rim as well, however the nut was sitting up high enough to still be able to torque it.

So I got a recess diameter measurement of about .736, so it's probably 19mm unpainted. My socket was about .037 over. Almost exactly 1mm lol. So I took it down about .045 just to be safe. Bored at work you might ask? Yes, yes I am.

A tool for every job.

After a shipping issue with my gold stems I contacted Mani and he immediately sent out a new set for me. Customer service is top notch! The valve stems look to be excellent quality too!

I installed mine yesterday. Mine is a new gen, and I didn't have significant clearance issues with the socket. It is close, however, and the socket won't slip over the entire nut, but there is enough contact to get the nut to torque w/o any major headaches or specialized tools.

One critical comment though: It seems like there really should be a gasket or O-ring, and a washer under the nut. There is a possibility I am loosing a small amount of air, but I'll verify that tomorrow morning when the air temp is like it was this morning when I first checked it. I had also planned to use some blue loctite on the nut/threads before I mounted the tire, but I FORGOT.... Grrrrr!

Follow-up: I just checked my air, after filling it yesterday morning. It's cooler today, so even though it is later in the day, the air temp. is similar. It appears to be holding right at 33 psi (rear), which is right where I like it for my Sport Demons.

I only have the new valve on the rear, since I don't need to change the front tire yet, but IMO they look even better in person (installed) than in pictures. Unless you're really into accent colors, I think BLACK is the way to go, as it blends with the rim nicely.

If in the future there were the option to include properly sized o-ring and washer on the inside of the rim, I would happily pay a little more. I don't know how easy/difficult it would be to find these at a local store. An added bonus to adding an o-ring and washer is it would lift the nut higher in the recess of the rim, making it easier to get a fuller grip on the nut with a socket. That's my suggestion anyways.

Once you have these on, you will never want to run with any other valve stems.

They are lighter than stock, and the angled part makes it much easier for pressure checks and fills!
