Ninja 250 Turbo with Nitrous - $5500 (USF / panhandle)
Date: 2010-03-28, 10:55AM PDT

I am selling my Ninja 250 with a turbo system and nitrous setup. It was custom built by Davis Racing Team in Oklahoma as a drag bike. The frame is stretched, raked, and lowered for better stability and handling. It also has a removable wheelie bar if you like. I have since mounted turn signals, mirrors, lights, etc. to make it street legal. I have owned several 250's in the past years, and this is by far the fastest one I have ridden. It's a great bike for anyone who likes attention and a decent amount of speed. It gets looks wherever I go and never ceases to start a conversation. If you have any questions, feel free to email me or call me, Jake, at 949-xxx-xxxx. Thanks for your time

It was on another forum. I spoke at length to the owner. The bike was built by a father and son team that just through stuff together. Then get bored and move on. It looks like it is all there but just a bunch of parts bolted together. Lots of money and time invested. But not finished.

I would not mind buying it and starting over with just a stock engine to sort out the suspension and the rest then add power to the engine. Drag racing is fun .Bracket racing would be cheap to do with this 15 second beast.

I would be afraid to get within 15 feet of that thing, whether it's moving or not.

Yeah, most of his "screw it" stemmed from the fact that he didin't even understand basics of forced induction! I know you gotta start somewhere, but a hobby ninjette and Kawiforums is NOT the place to leard forced induction theory!

Just remember . Filling a pipe with a volital mixture of air and Gasoline and putting it under pressure next to your leg is BAD. If you build a turbo system Talk to people that do it for a living .Before you build something .

What will be crazy is when he shoots one of those pistons moving 14 grand through the gas tank, and into his helmet.

I think it will loose the bottom end long before that . But the bottom line is .It is well worth 5500 dollars. Just the parts alone cost that much. It is covered with after market goodies
To lower and rake a frame is a lot of work.

If no one else will say it, I will: why would someone make that poor Ninja so ugly?

Because it's a drag bike? The same people made one really purty (the Ducati 999 Ninja 250).

Drag bikes don't have to be ugly as sin.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is dated that is for sure .

But how about this

Put in a stock engine remove everything else . Paint it real purdy. Then give it to you son or daughter for a birthday .Take them to the the track and run 16's at 75 mph . It would be a good family project .

The kids would learn all sorts of stuff. And the front yard would get mowed with out asking. Haha.

In my opinion any extended swingarm is ALWAYS ugly as sin, and since drag bikes have extended swingarms...1+1=nastyuglyalways!

I would mount a two lb bottle in front of the tire for the air shifter.
