Would that be an aftermarket filter? It looks different from the one that was on the bike before. I found the oem part number actually.. 49019 - 1092 . Should i just go that route since it is factory?
Thanks

Factory filter goes INSIDE fuel hose and has limited capacity. It has been implicated in many cases of limiting fuel-flow due to being clogged. It can’t be easily inspected without removing fuel-hose.

Get an in-line, external filter. That way, you can see your fuel flow and whether you need to replace it.

I got mine from Advance Auto. I believe it was intended to be installed in a Ford of some kind but it was small and that's what I wanted (most in-line filters can be a little on the long side, so they don't fit well in the cramped space between the petcock and carb). I haven't had any issues with it.
