Racing Fuel

Does anyone use racing fuel in there bikes either at the track or street? If so, what type do you use and do you run 100% or mixed with pump gas?
The main reason I am asking is because my bike does not run as good as it used to before the gas stations here switched to 10% ethenol.

No need to run race fuel for street use. Premium is ethanol free.
So all the stations in your area no longer sell ethanol free gas?
When I can't get ethanol free gas, I but 87 octane and add Star Tron Fuel Treatment to it. Works good.

You don't want race gas. If it is not running well on 10%. maybe the jetting might need to be addressed.
What is different?

He got used to the way his bike felt using ethanol free gas. I know what he means. E10 and E0 make the bike run differently, especially at different elevations and humidity.

This may be true in your area, but it isn't universal. Premium still has 10% ethanol in much of the country. (was looking at the stickers all the way across the US this week).

I checked several premium pumps around town and they all had stickers saying they contained 10% ethanol.

Just an FYI, as ethanol is an octane booster, the first e15s hitting the market are in fact, premium grade.

Check out the thread on ethanol gas + water = gas. Maybe you would be interested in making your own.

Here is a link to the thread. Very interesting process trying to separate the ethanol from the gas. http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=136974

i was always under the impression unless your engine is tuned for race fuel it may actually make no more or less power.

After checking out the VP Racing Fuel site I think the cost is not worth it. http://www.vpracingfuels.com/motoroadracing.html

the fact you cant let most race fuels sit in the system it deteriorates itself and just about everything it touches.. once the seal is cracked on a pale it has a limited shelf life. oh ya and the price hurts a bit to...

you're better off finding an ethanol free pump or getting additive that for ethanol fuels
