How many miles do you normally go per tank?

I'm going about 180 miles before I'm at 10% fuel left.

What about you guys?

Is this inclusing your reserve of .8 gallon or just the 4 gallon main tank? I regularly run through my entire tank since having spent so much money re-doing my original one from years of abuse.
I don't do gas mileage either as I'm not a spendthrift, poor or Scottish. However you have tweaked my interest and I would like to know. Problem; I have no guages on my motorcycles.
What do you get per gallon in city, on highway and half and half?

You don't have to bee spendthrift, poor or Scottish to care about mileage. Tracking gas mileage gives you insight into the health of your bike. If you notice a drop in mileage (with no major change in riding habits) it could be a sign the motor needs some work (valve adjustment, oil change, etc).

I can go 200 miles easily on a tank. And it seems like I was one of the lucky few who managed to get a bike with a properly working fuel gauge. Each quarter mark on my gauge pretty much equates to 1 gallon of gas. And when I'm right at the bottom mark on the gauge, it takes just under 4 gallons to fill it.

EDIT: This is about 80% city 20% highway riding. Not sure how it is for everyone else, but for me, my mileage drops on the interstate. I rode my bike from Lafayette to Houston which is about 250 miles. And I had to fill up at about 170 miles. And it took 4.5 gallons to fill.

I have an honest mechanic and he keeps tabs on my and my sons bikes, all 5 of them. So like I said. And to be that obsessive about mileage, which would mean tracking city, country and highway miles and all the speeds etc. is anal. Fill it up with 87 and Glasgow.

It was just the other day when I really wanted to keep tabs on what my bike's health. Although it does feel like the mpg's do go down on the highway.

I'm 60 so I live in a do it yourself world, literally not figuratively. But I do get your point and no harm no foul brother. I made a decision long ago to stay true to myself as I was at that time. No cells, cables, still no EFI even, and my son is provided with all you know of I'm sure. I hack shite out on his computer and hack is what I am as well. Peace out man.

I haven't gone very deep into a tankfill so far as I have been testing fuel economy modifications as I install them . However , when my bike was unmodified it got between 65-72 mpg so I could have easily gone 280 miles on a tank ( 70 mpg X 4 gallons= 280 ) . With my current mods I'm over 76 mpg so I could easily go 300 miles. I hope to get over 400 miles on a tank.

I am currently hitting 59 mpg. Just went 278 on my last tank with a little gas left. I am calculating my MPG using the amount of fuel I usually fill up to.

I fill up 3.5 gallons (needle starts getting below the 1st mark and close to empty)...150 miles only. Then again, I ride at 10k RPM or above. And being 210lbs doesn't help either.

Yeah I'm kind of the same way. I do quite a bit of freeway driving so i'll be up at 12k RPM. Plus I think when I installed my Area P exhaust and got it jetted it really killed my mpg. But I don't know, maybe I need an oil change. I'm waiting till I hit 3500mi until I change to synthetic. Only at ~3300

I switched to synthetic at 1k miles (got the first oil change at 500, couldn't wait to end the breakin right there and then) but yeah...my work commute is 20 minutes of highway and it's WOT...very light traffic on the tollway and no cops (knock on wood).

Anytime I'm in traffic or moving slower than 70 I ride up, post 70 I tuck in. Double bubble helps a ton with wind too...

Absolutely. I'm only 5'10 160 lbs so I can tuck pretty well. I rest my elbows on my knees and get pretty comfy. Although I should invest in a new windshield to reduce the wind.

Haven't rode FWY 2up though

I put about 5000 miles a year on that bike, I never get less than 200 per tank. Highway or city, always about that much.

jeremy....my fuel indicator, on emppty, has near a gallon left.
Just yesterday, a 60 mile ride indicated half gone when I had 3++ gallons left.
200, 225 iswhen I usually fill and I'm never much more than 4 gallons. Riding faster than 80,,,,say 90, 90+ for a long distance pushes it down into low 40mpg. mY lowest mileage was 140 to empty buy I was going over 90 all the way. I run 15-41 sprocks and that actually shaves a few mpg off. Stock gear..you can count on at least 250 per tank in my experience

I'm getting pretty close to that 400 mile tank range; I got a 104 mpg tankfill today ( 194.1 miles / 1.86 us gal. = 104.35 mpg. So in theory I should be able to go over 400 miles pretty easily with the pre-gen's 4.8 gal. tank.

Akima, that's 125.2 mpg UK

I fill up around 200 miles and usually pump about 4.1 gallons. Most of my riding is around town and on the highway less than 70 mph.

I didn't get the mileage on this tank because my Koso reset midway but this is the most I've ever put in my tank at once.

Did 300.1 mpg on 4 gallons on the last tank, 283 miles on 3.8 gallons the previous tank. Stock bike except for 15/42 gearing and cruise at 70 mph on the highway.

Mine is modded but I am small. I always fill up before 220 miles on a tank, and I've yet to run out. I haven't had the balls to push it past that and probably won't ever. lol

I ran my 2011 250 dry at 177 miles back in October last year. That equated to 36.7 MPG. Oops. It was a fun ride though

I usually fill up the 300 before each Sunday ride with anywhere from 150-200 miles on the previous tank. I'm pretty certain it could get 230-250 miles per tank easily.

Depends what settings my efi is on. On eco mode, I can pull 68 mpg easily. On rich mode, I can get 57 or so. With a gutsy right hand, I can get that down to 50 easily.

I also have no reserve, so I don't like to push the mileage too far. I just fill up every 200-220 miles and call it a day. So I guess in short, I get 220 miles to a tank.

Lucky. Even when I fill mine to the point that the gas is coming up and out of the tank hole slightly when the bike is leaning I can only get the gauge to maybe go up to 3/4 tank.

Haven't rode the thing too much yet since I got it in November but I suppose I'll get used to looking at 3/4 as a full tank lol.

I can normally go 200 miles before having to switch to reserve and look for a gas station.
