Lol that is an advantage to him living close. so it sounds like the retro fit is the more expensive method for the lights. but its the "proper" way, right?

well from what I understand, yes this would be the BEST way. Not sure if there is a proper way, but I would imagine it would be the closest to proper if exists such a way

reason being the projectors are doing to direct the light where if you just throw in some HID bulbs you will basically just be blinding the **** out of everyone because the light is not focused.

Someone correct me if Im wrong, but I think that sums it up.

but yeah this guys retro fit is gonna run right around $500, a little more with more options.

You are completely correct.

Nothing says, "I don't care about my fellow motorists" like the "ghetto" HID conversion. Riding around blinding everyone you pass makes you worse than the squiddy-est squid.

Right which is why I wont ever just throw some HIDs in, it can be more dangerous then helpful if you're blinding people.
