pegs came in, they look great. Easy to install but a bit of a pain trying to cram the stock spring in there. Figured it out in short order though. Iz happy.

My springs had to be compressed more to fit the new pegs. I figured out the technique quick enough though and they eventually popped in and work great.

One thing I am going to do this weekend is put some blue loctite on them so I know they won't rattle loose.

word. I wrapped the threads in enough teflon tape so that they wont come loose. They definitely need loctite or tape though.

I just finished the install, (which was a piece of cake) they look great! It'll take me a day or so to get used to them but after a short ride they feel good. Overall, for 24 bucks, this seems like a great mod!

I sometimes point them out because some people dont notice them as being something different on the bike.

Sorry, but that is not Blue loctite;it's super glue. What most people mean when they refer to Blue loctite is thread locker. Not the same thing.

All loctite seems to come in either red or grey containers, and most often it's in the red. The strength of it is still on that red container, the pic that kkim posted is correctly showing the blue loctite. Blue = medium. Medium means that a part set with the Blue can still be removed with hand tools. Red is higher-strength, and cannot be removed without applying significant heat to the part to weaken the red loctite. The packaging that Jael posted up isn't loctite at all, it's loctite-branded superglue.
Here's a link that shows all 3 major strengths (green/blue/red), all contained in primarily red packaging.

I purchased the same ones as well, my first mod so far Simple install, used loctite when I realized they could come apart, happy so far
I think the next 2 things will be the HID's and to deal with the rear of the bike. |

that's cool... I can deal with that.
I just wanted to make sure others that may not know the difference didn't get confused on what to really use. In addition to us having fun on the board, sometimes there is information passed along that has some value. |
