60 bucks for a REAL carbon fiber tank protector including shipping to the states? Sounds too good to be true...

better snap it up, if you want it. he's saying he has only those two for sale.

I agree... that is an excellent price.

also, he never said it's real CF, but a CF print.

If Im not mistaken he said made from carbon fiber...but I don't get how it would be made from cf with a cf print? maybe a mistake? PLease clear this up cause if it is truly made from cf...even if its made from fiberglass with a real cf overlay...I'll take the plain one!

$60 including shipping is a great deal. The one I got from a-tech came up to around $80 including shipping. Then again you have to factor in the Western Union costs, but for such a small amount it shouldn't be too much.

Fake or real, it still looks similar, people won't probably be able to tell the difference unless they go in for a closer inspection.

It's not like the these small items will be making your bike perform better. It's all cosmetics.

But then again...who do you do cosmetics for...you or everyone else? But hey...if you like the way it looks and don't mind it not being real cf and just like the look of carbon fiber...go for it Make it your own...I was just nervous that some people may be buying this thinking it was something else

My understanding is that when he says "carbon fiber print" he is referring to the plain carbon fiber one without the monster graphics. His explanation seems a bit confusing but that's what I got from it.
From the pics alone it looks comparable to the a-tech one.

I think Kelly only has the CF seat cowl bumper thingy. I don't think he has the tank protector....then again knowing him he may have the answer or the link to the answer!!

Damn those seat cowls are pretty sick! Too bad you don't have red & black instead of black & red. Any plans on getting more items?

I just checked out the Sportisi site, and they don't have prices. Is there a way where I can get the prices for the accessories.

yes it has, leaving the house, which has changed, at 0530 and getting home after 7 in the evening has a way of really wearing you out. On top of that, I had to move. It wasn't far, about 3 blocks or so, but for the last two weeks we have had no internet or Sat. TV. TV I can get by without for a few days but I have been having a " posting withdrawal". Today and the last time I posted I am at the on post library. That is why I dropped out of site for the last few weeks. I had over 8000 unread posts when I logged on this morning.

Anywho thanks for asking and wondering. I will be back sometime when we get the internet back up.

Thanks, but, according to the grape vine at work, I may be moving again, and leaving SWMBO and jr here in HI. The job I got is installing modifications on army acft, and the ones here are almost done, so I might end up having to "become a roadie" and go to where the next job is, from what I have been told is Los Alamitos (sp) in socal, Salt Lake City, or Anchorage. I am trying for socal, because of the weather, and the proximity to beaches, bikinis and Knotts Berry Farms.

Your gone a lot. I was also offered a position in the Middle east but I turned it down after getting this job here. The good thing is you get paid per diem, which here is now 190/day on top of your pay, but it varies depending on the location. So you can pretty much live off of the per diem and stash the pay. In theater, the per diem AND your pay, go straight into your pocket, because room and board are provided. There is now running 140 -160K/year. but, you are a long ways from home and working 12 on 12 off, 7 days/week. No thanks, there is something to having weekends off, sleeping in your own bed.

Being a roadie on the mainland isn't as bad, the per diem last 179 days and the job is usually done by then. Until the economy turns around......it is a paycheck.

Yeah, it's real carbon fiber & premium epoxy resins. It's overlaid the original parts for guaranteed fitment. I don't want (or know how) to make a mold...

Let me tell you, working with CF is a mess...glove is your best friend, especially when dealing with those resins.
Anyways, not making to sell..man it's a lot of work..especially for an immature. But if you want, I can tell you how. Cost about $100 for all the material and a few hours of your time.
