No problems here. Been riding all summer with them. My only complaint would be that the black anodizing is turning gold on the lever mount. Other than that I'm happy as a pig in .....

What's the difference between shorty levers and normal length ones? Is it just preference?

Shorty made for 3 fingers of your hand, and about 2" shorter than the normal ones.

Lol well I understood that there is a length difference. I was wondering if there is an advantage for having shorty levers as opposed to stock length ones. Seems like you would have a harder time braking/clutching due to less leverage

The shorties make it easier to use in race application. Most GP racers like to have at least 2 fingers on the bars for faster/quicker response in braking/shifting. Are they necessary for street use on the Ninja. IMO, no. They look cool though.

My Parrot SK4000 handlebar remote scrapes a portion of the stock clutch lever. Think this will give it a bit more room? I'm talking about having a wider arch close to the inside of the handgrip because I already know it can be adjusted to engage earlier/later.

After putting my stock levers up against these, the stock levers have a little more space. If your remote is scraping the edge of the arch on the stock levers, then these adjustable levers would scrape more. Even moving the adjustable lever didn't seem to change anything as far as I could tell. You'd have to see for yourself though. Might be worth the $40. If not you can get what you paid for them if you decide to sell them.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm looking for info on the silver levers from the2wheels. I am planning to buy them for my 09 250 because I figured the silver would resist fading. I e-mailed the2wheels asking which color would best resist fading and they said they've never had any fading problems.

I know this is not the case and don't expect perfect levers for $30 but I also don't want black ones that turn purple. I have a black CRG clutch lever on the 636 and it hasn't faded after 6 years of use.

I sent a follow up email to the2wheels asking if the silver would be best and if it has a finish applied to it or is how the levers look before adding color. They did not reply.

I see they have the adjusters in titanium and silver but levers are only offered in silver. I like the titanium but right now I'm leaning towards silver with silver adjusters. A colored adjuter would be nice but not if its going to fade.

I added a link to the ones I'm looking at. Thanks for any input

The levers function just fine but they do fade over time as expected, it never really bothered me much but I've taken them off because I've swapped all my perches to something else. What your looking at is on top is the bottom side of the brake with zero fading and lower is the top side of the clutch. You can see the black faded line where the black is protected under the clutch perch housing. There is no illusion with lighting angle what you see is the difference after 14months 18,000 miles and "always" parked inside at work or home.

Well, it's been a while since I last posted anything about these levers from the2wheel, that's because they are still working great. However, I did order a new set. This time they are silver and the quality is still there. This time when I ordered them, they were $34.55 ($6 cheaper than when I first reviewed them). This order came with instructions and each lever in it's own little bag and the hardware looks improved from the first set. 6 months and there is no evidence of fading or turning colors, which is the only complaint I had from the black ones.

That's crazy rojoracing53. As good as the price is, I'm leaning towards getting titanium CRG levers instead. A big part of it has to do with my ignored e-mails from the2wheels and the fact that they lied when they said they've NEVER had any fading problems. A quick search shows there are LOTS of fading problems. Like I said, not a huge deal with the fading considering the price, just be honest to your customers. A company that lies IS a huge deal for me.

@rojoracing53, why did you change out your lever perches? Clip-on clearance?

I guess it depends on outlook of it, to me they are right there is no problem w 'fading'. It is to be expected on anodized parts exposed to the sun/elements, and therefore is working as intended.
I liked my set, which by the way did not survive a 0 mph drop, when someone backed into my parked bike. I plan on getting another set and painting or PC them before being added to bike. (Kinda wondering if just a clear coat or 2, would prevent or slow down the fading??)

My black levers faded just after 1 month of use to a golden color, look pretty nice so I don't mind.

Found a good deal on a CRG clutch lever so buying it and a Galfer front brake line. Not sure if I'll bother with the brake lever.

My wife's 2000 ZZR250 had adjustable clutch and brake levers so not sure why Kawasaki doesn't make it standard this many years later. Its a step backwards in my opinion.

As for the2wheels, they lost my business because of their terrible customer service. First impressions matter to me and they blew it.

I've never cheaped out on any parts for any of my bikes so why start now? CRG is worth it to me. Six years and my clutch lever on the 636 looks brand new. I'll be keeping my 250 and all my bikes for a long, long time so no sense cutting corners to save a few bucks and have to deal with the hassle of getting replacements for the2wheels when they fade.

As an update, it has now been 9 days and no replies to the 2 e-mails I sent the2wheels. I was all set to order silver levers and take a chance with them but their customer service is certainly lacking and I would rather spend my money with a reputable company.

I ended up buying a black, standard length CRG clutch lever for $37.98 from Riders Discount. While I was at it, I ordered a clear Galfer stainless steel front brake line. I have both of these items on my 636 and am very happy with their performance and quality.

Michael from Riders Discount was very professional and answered my e-mails promptly. We exchanged a few e-mails and he answered all my questions. The entire process was completed the same afternoon and my items are on their way. This experience is day and night compared to waiting forever for a reply from the2wheels.

Some might think I'm crazy to spend more money on 1 CRG lever compared to the set from the2wheels but it seems like most people have had problems with the Chinese sets (not fitting properly, fading, waiting forever for them to arrive, etc). I've had the CRG lever on my 636 for 6 years and it still looks brand new. I will be keeping my 250 for a long time and passing it down to my son at some point. CRG is made in the USA and $37.98 is a great price for a quality lever that I will never worry about.

Thanks for reading.

*EDIT*: I ended up changing my order from one black standard length CRG clutch lever to 2 grey standard length levers. I spent $76 for the pair of CRG levers. The extra money is worth the peace of mind and I feel good buying from a company in the US. God knows I buy enough crap from China.

Sooo my wife finally got around to taking the Motorcycle Safety class and has started riding the 250. Since she is on the smaller side (5'1") I've been tailoring the bike to her size. Roaring toyz rear link and bar risers took care of the foot to ground issue and now I popped for some adjustable levers since her hands are so small. I ordered mine from ebay for $37 total and they shipped from the U.S. The seller was rcttco and was super fast about emailing for color and size. They arrived in 5 days, ordered on the 10th and got them yesterday. Looks to be the same levers everyone else has been installing but without the Hong Kong issue. The anodizing is a little off on what was supposed to be red but for the price there jam up.

I bought a pair of these CNC machined levers but mine don't seem to fit. They are labelled F-25 so they must be the right model.

When I try to install the brake lever it isn't as wide as the stock one so it wants to slide up and down in the housing. It can slide so far down it won't make contact with the actual brake.

Am I missing some small part? Or did I get the wrong kind of levers?

Are you referring to the brake reservoir plunger or brake light actuator.? If it does not touch either one it's the wrong one. Take a picture of it installed and compared to the OEM, contact the seller and send it back.

It looks like a circle that the brake lever depresses and I assume causes the brakes to function. My lever won't line up with it.

I'll contact the seller.

Any updates on these levers? How are they holding up for you guys?

Did you guys go with the long (regular) or the short ones? I almost always use two fingers for braking and clutching.....so I'm thinking of picking up the short levers. Any pros and cons you've experienced with short levers (compared to OEM size)?

It also looks like the price went up a bit since the OP posted. It's $35USD including shipping now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/T2W-CNC-Adju...item43bea72ea6

Mine are still holding up and work well. No mechanical problems at all. Having the ability to adjust them has been great when going from winter to summer gloves.

The total price for these levers today are still cheaper than when I first got mine. The first price ($24.98) did not include S&H. The total price (S&H included) on the first purchase was like $40.

Still good as new 2yrs later. I got regular length in silver (chromish type of finish) and color is still holding up just fine. Garage kept though...

i still use mine... they are pretty old. a few years now. the black anodize has faded to silver now but they work almost as well as new. the adjuster mechanism needs wd40 every year or so.

I have a set of these $25 levers on my race 250R. The bike fell over at the track last weekend and clutch lever snapped at the tip (as designed, it was still usable).

These levers are NOT billet aluminum though, they are cast "pot metal" and machines after the fact, hence machining marks. This was evident by looking at the exposed metal edge. Since they seem to work just fine for the $ I just ordered a 2nd set for spares (in addition to having stock levers in my bin), but just be ware... NOT billet.

Hmm. Don't see the $25 ones listed .......
The OP is a few years old. The price has gone up a bit since then. Still a good deal though.

Not the same company though so the consistency of quality may be in question. People tell horror stories about parts coming from China. This thread is also specifically talking about the levers from the2wheel store.

I bought a set from a random Chinese seller. A pair Brake Clutch Levers Fit For KAWASAKI GPZ500S/EX500R NINJA 1990-2009 CNC is the exact one I ordered. They were $24.95 with free shipping November '13.

They have random machining marks on them. As opposed to a nice consistent pattern all the way across or perfectly smooth, the lines run different ways on different sections. You can't even feel them dragging your fingernail over it, but you can see them in the light. Minor aesthetic thing.

They installed quickly and easily on my 500. It took me longer to get my tools out than to put them on.

I just put them on near the end of winter and have only been able to ride a few times. So far I like them and don't foresee any issues.

I know I'm pulling up a thread from decades ago. But has anyone ordered these levers from "the2wheel" for their Ninja 300?

I created a thread on the 300 section of the forums. But it seems like the 250 forums is much more active.

It also looks like this store changed its name to "the2wheels".

Same store?

EDIT: Purchased the shorty levers. I'll update once I get them. Hopefully I'll get them before the end of the riding season.

eBay Levers

I purchased some of these about a year ago. Possibly from a different seller but look identical. I would also echo the colors fade quickly. The black is more like silver now with a hint of black. The red looks more pink now. With that said I am not removing them from my bike. I would just be careful about your color choice when ordering.

adjustable levers

I just received my levers from China and I must say they look great. The finish, workmanship all look good. I haven't tried fitting but expect to do so early in January. For the $25 and change they certainly look far better than their price.

PS it took almost 30 days exactly to get them here. Just saying don't expect a couple of day delivery. Wardie

2015 update/ shortys still as desirable as ever?

Thought 2015 would be a good time to add my two cents, and I'm sure it will be worth every penny. So, like most on this thread, I looked at paying $100 plus for "name brand" but after reading this and other threads on the subject decided to go to Ebay/China for my gold colored shorty aluminum levers. Her are my findings with pics:

- color after two or three weeks is the same (which means nothing I'm sure) but the bike is garage kept. The only issue I suspect will happen is I live in the hot Florida sun and they will be exposed to a certain extent. Time will tell...

-the feel is GREAT! I have them adjusted about halfway and the length and leverage is money! They feel way better than stock aside from the look.

-the look is sweet. The gold looks quality and the "billet machining" adds that little bit of "works" to one of the most important parts of a motorcycle. I've had and payed close to $200 for high end levers several years ago on my ZX1200 when that's all that was available. These appear very close to them honestly and they also faded/wore after a few years.

-install was easy but had to unscrew and remove the barrel adjuster from its perch to install the clutch side. I'm not a mechanic so it took me about 10-15 minutes total. The brake side was sooo easy it took about 3 of those minutes.

-overall very happy with the install, feel, and look of this set so I included a detailed pic of the Ebay add.
