Feels good to lose my mind.
Last week..... I traded my 2008 zx10r for a 2014 honda crf250l.
I've ridden so much my butt hurts and don't regret it a bit. There is so much stuff to get into with this thing. It started feeling less enjoyable riding that zx. I mean it was fun maybe for a month but sheer speed doesn't cut it for me. In 3 secs it would break every speed law in the country. Couldn't ride down gravel roads or anything. No problem now tho, I've already broken it in goofing off in state park. Was considering doing the stage one mods and trying some light mx practice laps...... Hmmmm |

Haha!
Way to go dude! I just did the same thing today and I'm just down the road from KC. You probably knabbed one of the ones I was looking at! Pick mine up hopefully in a week. My CB was totaled in an accident recently so I didn't have a choice but I was too growing tired of it. I have had an eye on the CRF250L for awhile. Now seems right! Kansas has over 100,000+ miles of unpaved road. Eureka, KS also has a huge dual sport ride/camp in the spring. Come on over, the Flint Hills are awesome to ride in! I know a few experienced sport bikers that have went to small duelys and never looked back. They are to much fun! Cool we think alike!

I got mine at dells powersports in blue springs mo. I'll look into those places u speak of. I'd love to find more places to play. I'm just exploring now.
It's gonna be an acquired taste using that on the highway tho. |

Hah! You did take the one I was checking out at Dell's!
They were ready to dealer trader to get me one though! Ended up finding a better price in a small town. Can't wait to get mine! I won't be able to ride until next year but at least I can tinker on it!

I always kinda looked down on the little dirty bikes and duals - until I rode one. A must to have something like this in my garage now (for me at the moment its a little XR100)

Little is relative. Sure the 250cc is a small engine but physically the bike feels much bigger than my zx10r and with it sitting beside my ninjette.... I can't even see the baby kawi.
I've done another highway ride on it and I can confirm.... It's kinda scary and not fun at all. I bet it would do better with some street type tires tho. I first thought I was gonna sumo it but now I think I'm gonna make it more of a dirt bike wheelie machine. Gonna get that 13t sprocket when I take it in for the 600m service. |
