[visordown.com] - Indian Big Chief Custom shown

INDIAN unveiled its all-new range of machines a couple of months ago and now the firm has shown what can be done using one of the new bikes as a base for aftermarket modifications.

The Big Chief Custom is being shown at the New York International Motorcycle Show at the moment, having been created in-house by Indian’s own styling department, headed by Greg Brew, the man behind the looks of the new production models.

The changes to the one-off machine include girder forks to give a more retro look, a custom paint job, new bodywork and a simpler, more old-fashioned headlight than the production Chief sports.

While it’s a bit more extreme than anything the average owner is likely to achieve, the bike is intended to help demonstrate the firm’s range of official bolt-on extras for its new models.
