Well last night I did my oil change on my 250 for the first time and I cant believe how easy it was. I prefer changing the oil on my 250 vs my civic. The motorcycle feels a lot better and less sluggish. I bought the bike from a girl that was the first owner she bought it new and put about 700 miles on it and never did an oil change on it :O but the oil was pretty clean from what I could see on the sight glass.. well 1700 miles later after taking it for long rides short rides high rpms low rpms. Its ready for the road again !!!!!

Dynojet kit installed stage 3, painted the stock windscreen black, flushed and serviced the brake fluid front and back with Amsoil, repaired a kinked up wire on my turn signals they blink now, removed airbox & installed my Uni pod filters, removed emissions crap & blocked It off, and polished the carb throats by hand. This was done throughout the week cause of work and what not.. But she's been back on the road as of yesterday.. I can do small wheelies now (I have a 15t front sprocket so it was harder to do so). Overall very pleased and happy with the outcome...!

You know they supposed to torque and tighten bolts during service right? Soooo with all due respect you 1) need to check as much as you can personally out and/or 2) go talk to your shop and possibly find a new one
I sure hope you can get your bike tightened up and keep out of harms way (period)

Spark plugs on the 250. It was at around 16k miles. I bought it at 9k. No clue if the spark plugs had ever been changed before

So that's what all those extra gears are for on the 300 that's around 30 mph more... Def not bad considering that like a extra 1/3... Not bad at all

I only got 96, felt like it had more, but that was plenty fast for me at that moment... I don't ever dismiss better looks and performance improvement!

Put on a new apex front brake line and waiting for the correct rear to ship. Learned how to bleed brakes so spark plugs and an oil change is the plan for this weekend.

They were new aftermarket rearsets that I put on after my lowslide. Everything was snugged up but managed to vibrate out, now all essential bolts have some Loctite on them.

Was wondering why my right mirror was jiggling more than my left. I played around with it at a stop light and....it came off. I slipped it back on and did my best to drive as steadily as possible.

Damn. This means I lost the screws that held it down and the rubber piece that goes on the inside of the mirror bracket.

Forgot how heavy the stock exhaust muffler was, but it's amazingly quiet! Need to head to the auto parts store to buy some "cut your own" exhaust gasket.

Rode the road I crashed on at the beginning of the year.

I forgot what part I crashed at while doing 35-40 so I played it safe and pretty much did 40+ the whole way. B)

Just got my first ninja! 2011 250! 3,000 Cash

So I was wondering, what should my first upgrades/mods be? I got this bike to learn how to ride, and a little more about bikes! I love it, so far ordered a Hotbodies Racing MGP Growler Slip-On Exhaust - Carbon. I really would like some of yall's inputs towards this bike. Such as Secondary coloring? Parts anything really!

Obviously this isn't the actual picture, but same color and year.

P.S. First Post as a new Ninjette Member!

Hello! And

My advice on the Growler is unless you personally actually heard the thing physically in front of you and still like it, avoid it. That thing is really really loud. IMHO

Welcome Justin!

Assuming you have all your gear and have taken the MSF, the first mod imho would be tires and fender delete.

However, after the first day of riding (with shorts) I burnt the **** outta my leg. I loved how much smaller the growler is gonna be, and honestly the stock muffler is horrible for any 'show-off'. To me, I'd like to be louder, seeing how I'm a rookie rider, I'd rather be heard, then hardly seen? If that makes sense.

Also, Future fyi, I don't know a lot of this "forums lingo" I finally figured out that IMHO means in my honest opinion! HAHA. I really wanna mess with this bike, not to crazy though cuz after all it's a 250. I'd like bigger, but I think I wanna stick with Ninja for awhile!

Completed *my* first oil & filter change as part of my ongoing 7500 mile service tasks.

Amazed by how liquid (as opposed to viscous) the waste oil seemed, compared to what I'm used to on my car.

Not to many more things left to do now!

Cheers, Pete
